Yesterday I was checking some stuff on my Facebook page when I came across some citizens protesting in Abuja against the Senate for refusal of signing in to law the electorial reform and live transmission of election results electronically from each of the polling unit. This recent happenings online has sparked mixed reactions and I wonder why some certain groups of people are against a free, fair and credible elections in our country.

Furthermore, if am not mistaken apc is currently the winning and the most influential party in recent time and they literally has the highest number of governors, senator, house of representatives members etc,  but regardless all this advantages why are they still scared of losing the 2027 general election that is coming up to the extent of refusing to do what is expected from them (electorial reform act) .

Did you think apc has all it takes to return back to power in the next coming election 2027 or did you think the opposition party will just fold their hands and watch apc do their dirty stuff without doing shit? what do you think

E dy very unfortunate say we dy for country wey tribal sentiment don finish us to the extent where no body ready to protest against bad governance again, once anybody decisions to protect and call for good governance, you go see some idiots wey go dy protest against those protesters because they have been paid to do so.
This refusals to do electronic voting na wetin all the politicians for our country naija want, no be only apc politicians, them just know say once them implement am, their is no room for rigging again, and the power will return to their voters, so na the main reason them no want anything electronic voting, but that's by way, so the only way something like that fit happen for our country, I mean electronic voting, na if we as citizen stop being silent over important matters like this and take to the streets without fear of anything, like the Arabs.

I still don’t feel that electronic transmission of voting alone will completely solve the issue, back then when i was still in the university we normally transmitted SUG elections via electronic means and some students that were good with ICT in computer science still harked through and influence the results, infact it’s more dangerous with ICT because if the system is harked it won’t be easily noticed.

I just feel what will help us more is for everyone to come out and participate in the election, you see most of the people protesting today for even the electronic voting won’t come out to vote on that day, statistics has always shown that majority of Nigerians don’t vote, it’s just more of the social media talks, however on the other hand this APC government are still scared, they don’t want any form of protest because they don’t want what happened during end SARS period to reoccur, and they also don’t want to lose power to any other party so they will stop at nothing to deploy every strategy to win.

One thing I like about karma is that, it will always come back to hunt you, the evil the Senate refuse to correct today, will be their greatest undoing whenever they are no longer in power. We are the David Marks, that headed the Senate for 8 years without correcting the anomaly we have in our electoral laws, today he is in the opposition asking for electoral result to be transmitted electronically, that's the irony of life. So let's allow Akpabio to do his thing, we will also be here when he comes crying foul.
