I’ve been in crypto for a while now and realized that long-term safety often comes from small daily habits rather than big technical knowledge.
Things like:
Double checking wallet addresses before sending
Using hardware wallets for long-term holdings
Not keeping large amounts on exchanges
Avoiding unknown links or random airdrops
Testing new platforms with small amounts first
These may sound simple, but many losses seem to come from small mistakes or moments of inattention.

Always DYOR (Do Your Own Research). Whenever I see a new platform - crypto-casino, crypto-exchanges, or whatever- it's always a good idea to do a bit of research before using them.
This forum alone is a goldmine for very intricate analysis from various users. Most users here will not be silent and will bluntly warn anybody if they see something wrong with the platform.
I love the fact that whenever a new platform introduces itself here, most users will dig deep and critique the things they find that aren't in place, raise questions to the platform owners/devs, and, of course, make relevant and helpful suggestions/feedback.

Get the latest updates, read widely, and stay well-informed, as the industry is evolving. What works now may not work in the future, whether it's about cryptocurrency, market trends, hacking, or scamming.
Get the latest updates on anything related to cryptocurrency; what you know, small or big things will save you.

Learn to doubt and look for something that is wrong or will go wrong, because if it's wrong or false, it's bound to show up. Before you trust something, they have to satisfy your doubt.

exchanges allow you to add your withdrawal address to a whitelist; adding a whitelist address is easier than copying it every time you want to withdraw.
Dedicating a separate device for trading will reduce risk.

Staying away from altcoins, memecoins, and shitcoins even if everyone else is talking about them has helped me not waste my money on such things. The noise just comes in on one ear and out the other. Taking your time and being patient avoids silly mistakes. Accidents happen because people take shortcuts and are in a hurry. They are too confident that nothing can happen, but that's exactly when things can go south. Check destination addresses properly, double-check the amounts you are sending, fees you are paying, etc.

Most importantly, consider any emails and messages you receive from unknown people to be scams. Random people over the internet are not interested in making you rich. They want to enrich themselves and they need you for it. Sprinkle a bit of common sense and logic on top of that, and you should be fine.
