1hr system upgrade withdrawal suspension, nah to alert anybody way get money for there way plan to use am that period to make transaction earlier before that time, even as we they advise mke people no keep money for exchange dem still they run am nah those people get this news.

It is a well meaning post but an unnecessary one even for MEXC users, because they should have already received such a notification, in their devices.
The upgrade is moreso just for an hour and may require the users to update their apps too to fit in the upgrade properly.

I also think it would be a good idea to remove your funds from the exchange until time of the upgrade has passed, and also it would be good to take note if your address changed, although it's highly unlikely.

Also, this post good so that person no go com dey blame mtn or Airtel for interrupting their trade on the exchange within that hour of their upgrade.

But it does not mean. I have not seen the notification on MEXC but I am visiting the exchange almost everyday.

The upgrade is moreso just for a few hours and may require the users to update their apps too to fit in the upgrade properly.

It is just for an hour.

No app update should be necessary in my opinion. I always use the updated app, but I do not think the update will be followed by app upgrade.

Also, this post good so that person no go com dey blame mtn or Airtel for interrupting their trade on the exchange within that hour of their upgrade.

Very unnecessary post IMO, when exchanges are doing system upgrade it takes just few minutes or hours for them to restore the system to normalcy. If it was an information that will take place within a long period of time it would have been appreciated. Like for example, if an exchange wants to delist a token or a coin, or if they want to disable a feature in their system, not about something that won't even take much time to be reinstated.

Well, let it be your opinion. I have seen worse posts that are unnecessary than this. I would prefer this kind of post over the loads of new threads that have repetitive content. Go through the LB, I don't want to link posts to what I've said, but coming out loud to call a topic unnecessary, let's not make it a thing to start calling every thread for what they are, the board will get boring. You can outline your contribution without the need for that.

Just one hours maintenance, that should not cause any panic. This is how exchanges are doing it, you will see it on the trading page of the exchange or sent as a notification. This is not something new but not often.

Also it is better for the exchange to notify its users than the users to see it all of a sudden. This later one is what can cause panic like maybe the exchange has been hacked.

This is true, only trading funds should be left on the exchange. But there are sometimes that some might make money and need part of the money for something.

This is not new at all, it is very common and am not hearing this for the first time, even though the update of this kind i do receive is from Bybit mostly and the halt in their withdrawal or deposits often happens at the midnight hour, which does not last more than an hour or so, this is not a threat at all to users, but a kind of notification of possible network upgrade, which we can found out with any exchange as well, they aren't shutting down their platform.

Dem don go maintenance plenty times recently?
I no remember anytime dem go maintenance apart from last year own, so no be wetin go make people panic since these maintenances na still to make dem system rugged to serve dem clients wella. But you yarn legit say leaving large funds in centralized platforms no be de best.

Meanwhile more details about de maintenance information dey dia official website. I wonder why Dem no put am for dia social media handles.

I'm not surprised you don't know this exchange. I guess you are new to a lot of things.

Exchange emails are not spam mails; it is important you read them to avoid regretting in the future.

To be clear, only phishing sites send spam emails, meaning you have to be careful when you receive an email from an exchange. Be sure it is coming from the exchange directly.

Bybit did huge advertisements (in 2021), it was before Binance stopped the P2P for naira, anyone using crypto apps like Coinmarketcap can see it as ads. The exchange become more popular after Binance stopped P2P for naira but Nigerians have been using Bybit and Bybit naira P2P before that time. Bybit has been one of the first 5 exchanges globally in 2021.
