Why does some huge winners never seek for financial advice?

Well, what actually inspired me to create this topic was a post I saw on social media recently but I could not get my hands on the post again so I will explain what happened. There was this gambler who won a huge amount on sports betting, he wanted to use the money for investment but the mistake he made was that he did not do any consultation from financial managers but he took decisions on his own and also from the ideas his friends gave to him and he used all the money to purchase some machines that require servicing and buying of the fluid that will be used in running those machine.

These investment he made are not even a passive income source but all the investment he made were heavily active income source and these machines will worn out in few years and by then, he probably might not have even made profit that is enough to cover all the experience expenses.

Not everyone wants to make more money, they just want to spend it on some useless shits.

Or people think they trust their decision and it is okay but if they are making a wrong decision then it is on their own, whatever the consequences then they should be ready to accept that.

Many people that live in Nigeria where the person that won the money is from posted that he invested the money wisely.

That is business, but what he bought will give him much money than he bought them.

I think because gamblers who won big amount of money feel they have the chance of winning more or even bigger amount makes them to use the money without proper planning and knowledge on the business they want to start with the money. It's difficult for people to have a good financial management. However, I have seen one or two gamblers that used their huge win wisely to set up themselves.
