Celebrating or remembrance of birthday is a global vibes that some takes on a very high level annually and for some occasionally, it could be in casual manner or real party. Which ever way, everyone breathing will go through every year.

But to think of it!!
It's true that we are growing old daily and our age increasing yearly.
But are we really spending or gaining a year yearly? I guess we spend year like 2026 is already on spending, no body will gain 2026 but everyone will spend it.
Does the clock add or take time? I guess it's taking time!

This means birthday should be minus one (-1), not plus one (+1). Because every year is being spent not gained .

What is your view on this?

So immediately people are born, that means everyone has been given the day they will die. Is that true? Which means the day they will die will be deducted by 1 every year.

No one knows when anyone will die. The plus 1 means that someone died at a particular age. It supposed to be plus 1 and not minus 1 because we do not know the day we are going to die.

Look at the point that there are a lot of people that doesn't even reach the entire year and they pass away. So, that's a +1 indeed when we reach our birthday and as we grow older, we're appreciating more what life has to offer for us. But that depends on your point of view and we've got some important thoughts about it and it shouldn't bother us if we disagree with you and you're telling it oppositely. What matters here is that whenever your birthday is approaching, you're happy with it and just be thankful that you've gained another year to live because not all reaches their next years.

yeah the clocking id defo taking from us all time waits for none of us. we gain nothing from being a year older but yet we celebrate every birthday like is some thing to celebrate you dont notice this until much later on if life. as you get older birthdays seem daunting to many as they know time is ticking and life is getting closer to the end.

In reality both views are true depending on how you see time. Yes every year is being spent, so in that sense it feels like a minus one because time is moving away. But we still say plus one because it marks experience, growth and survival, you lived through another year.

I have heard a saying that each day brings us closer to our last day. This does not imply any fixed day is set already for us to go. However the holy book made us to understand that the almighty knows our last day even before our birth, if we believe in supremacy, then it means that every born soul already has a day to leave this world. So the statement of whether it's plus one or Minus one will then depend on which end you're counting from but since no one is sure of his last day, then it's more appropriate to say plus one because that's the only figure you can keep record of. A person may have 100 years to leave but would never know. He can only know that he is 50 years or more. So it's more mournful to say minus one even when it's supposed to be a celebration day. I would choose plus one because I can't tell how long I will live but I am pretty sure of how long I have lived.

This might be only true if you're past 40 something years, where you are already past your prime age and slowly wither away to old age. But this might not be the same as to youngins these days who are doing surprising things every passing years. It just varies on different views of life aswell. If you feel a sense of fulfillment in the year then its a +1, but if its the same monotonous thing as last year, then its a -1. We only got 1 life to live, so lets try to be less negative about it and start doing what we can in this limited time that we have Grin

That was said right earlier. We count how many years we’ve lived, not how many we supposedly have left till death. I don’t know about you, but I can’t predict my death date, so why would I subtract years from something random? If I start subtracting from 80 (which is around the average lifespan now) and then die at 30, does that mean I lived -50 years? Makes zero sense to me.

Yeah, we get older and technically closer to death every day. But we don’t count down the days to DEATH, we focus on the days and years of LIFE. That just feels way more logical to me.
