I want to know if there are no other sources of livelihood and we have gambling as the only means of income and people are already getting used to it, and you are not a gambler would gamble instead?
Now, this would definitely revealed those who are truly a gambler or those who just had passion for gambling and even as it turns to only means of income you wouldn't be that feeling bad because already you are well customed to it.
Of course there are some countries that bans gambling but yet there are some citizens who are still gambling either by using a vpn or Tor to access the gambling site.

If gambling was the only source to make money, then it will not be criticized and abused as it is today because everyone will find it subjected legal because you will have no other option to make money than gambling.
And if so be it, the risks may be less because everyone's bet does not have to stand at the point of loosing except for luck and it is unfortunate that all sources of income does not have to be relied on luck before one can survive otherwise everyone will perish out or poverty because we can not win in the long time while we do have lives to live in the mile.

Many people here would be happy if gambling were their sole source of income, provided, of course, that it was a fair endeavor that consistently yielded profits. This is technically impossible in the world we know; it can only be a stable source of income for casinos. But it would be interesting to see a casino that pays you to play with subscriptions or coupons, and in return, you have to watch ads or fill out surveys in the process. Would you play this way? Or would the advertising simply ruin the gaming experience? Because making a living from gambling as your only source of income seems unfeasible to me for the average gambler.

There are many country that has ban gambling today and yet people are still finding themselves out to gamble, but what we must know is that gambling can't be the only way of source of living because it would many people useless in the society. Because we could likely face more addiction and whenever people are addicted to any particular activity you see them misbehaving, this would also government come in ad to the gambling industry as they could like faces mental disorderliness while gambling. The rate at which we do not found much people getting into addictions is because they had alternative of survival out there.

No, I understand how tough it is to use gambling as a source of income. We want a stable one or at least that we're sure that we're not going to depend on chances for how much we're going to earn. It's okay to see if the crowd does the same thing but, the option is within us and we can always choose what's best for us.

In some countries of the world this is not just a question but a daily reality.  There is no legimate source of income so people have to gamble to survive, mostly risking their lives and worse consequences in some way just to make enough money to exist.
   It should be hypothetical but the reality its happened too often, people are forced to risk it all and the odds are not profitable when you have no choice.

These are the kind of hypotheticals that can never really apply to the real world because gambling being the only other alternative would mean that your life is already down to below zero but for the sake of just answering the question then if gambling was the only alternative then I would not be gambling simply because I would already be out of money, we can't survive off of gambling unless you are one of the luckiest few to hit a good amount earlier on because if you don't then eventually your losses overshadow your wins and you end up with no money at all to still be able to gamble with since gambling is the only available source of income.

I'll let those passionate and making gambling as a source of income be it on them as their choice, while I'll go with a different route.

You can actually go different route because you aren't core gambler, to be realistic there are those who are gamblers and whenever there are no other means of having a source of income at that particular moment they looks at gambling to earn more money and even though it is not guaranteed they don't really care at the moment till they gamble and earned up something for themselves.
When you truly understand how other sees gambling as you would know that there are people who can't leave gambling rather they had took it as place where they could make easy money from the gambling site that is why we easily records the high rates of gambling addictions.

I will never consider gambling as the only source of income. I even never assume gambling can be good source of income. For me, it is just a place for trying our luck. So, we shouldn't make it too serious for income. IMO, a source of income must be something quite established, we can't rely on our monthly income with something uncertain. I'm a bit surprised that there are people who consider gambling as a main of source of income. I'm sure there must be many other alternatives for the source of income.

If it's the only available means of livelihood, why wouldn't I? Gambling isn't a crime, anyway. If it's the only means for me to earn a living to support my family, I wouldn't think twice.

But the question would be, is it really the only "means of income" or are there other ways that you haven't considered? There are people who easily declare what they're doing as the only way they know how to make money, some unfair ways. I don't believe them. Most of the time, they're just lazy, don't want to get out of their comfort zones, don't want to develop competence on other things, and so on.

I will definitely learn how to gamble even though I am not a gambler if that is the only option to succeed. This means that to get started one need to learn gambling by all means to be on a safer side.

It's only those that are gamblers that will feel excited about that. Those that don't have passion for it will still not have passion for it but just have to forcefully accept it and start gambling. It takes time for this set of people to get accustomed to such games no matter how hard they try.

I will choose to go into farming as a source of income than to choose gambling and my reasons are very simple,  gambling can't give us guaranteed income since gambling os a game of luck and not actually a direct skills based activities, another thing is that gambling take more investment than it gives an income unless you are lucky to hit a jackpot.

All this will definitely end your joy faster than anything, so if nothing is available as means to generate income, lands and seeds grows,  so agriculture can be a good way to start with.

I don't know if someone without money can gamble because the last time I checked, casinos are not charity organisations so you much need capital to gamble. In your post, gambling should never be the only source of income of anybody and anyone hoping on gambling as his source of income should wake up and find something doing because that is a dangerous plan.

Gambling should just be for passive income and a means of reducing stress assuming you enjoyed some casino games for fun. Apart from this pattern, being too involved in gambling can be emotionally draining.

Gambling is not a job, it's entertainment. The word "gamble" itself explains it all. There's a high risk in it. Office jobs or day jobs don't have that kind of risk. We are making money through hard work and effort. It's very different.
So if there will be difficulty getting a job, then I am open to learn more about other jobs than being a gambler. Or, I would want to be an employee of the gambling place rather than being a player.

I think that when people get used to something it may seem normal but habit does not mean it is good or safe. If gambling becomes the only source of income it becomes more of a compulsion than a personal freedom which can increase stress and debt and social problems. So the important thing here is not to blame people but to create systems so that they can choose alternatives and get out of risky dependencies.
