Request to pin a thread in Electrum child board

That is a helpful thread, and I know it's been brought up before.  There was a time that ThomasV was moderating that sub board, but I don't see his name listed at the top of the sub like it was in the past.  Since he was the mod, I think that much of the management was left up to him.  It doesn't appear he's putting much time into the forum these days.

Just an FYI it took a while for the GPG thread to get pinned, I suspect it was because the admin/mods were seeking ThomasV's approval to do so.

But like you said, ThomasV is not longer the moderator of Electrum board as his name does not appear where the moderator or moderators of a board supposed to be.

But also there is no moderator on Electrum board.

That means Electrum board will be moderated by global moderators and not ThomasV anymore.

Simply use the report button to pin a post. If a moderator thinks it's a useful post and needs to be pinned, then they will pin it on the board. It isn't necessary to create a separate thread on the meta for pinning a post. Recently I have reported a thread to unpin, and it seems it has been marked good and the thread unpinned. It means moderators also take action for a pinned post.

Before, I had reported for pinning a post but can't recall if it was marked good or bad. But lately it's been working if only the moderator thinks it needs to be pinned in the board. So try this.

The Electrum sub board doesn't have a mod to it last time I checked. However from what I noticed it's pretty difficult or rather rare for admins and global moderators to pin posts because they seem to allow moderators assigned to that board to handle the pinning themselves.

Hmmm... Personally I can't say how true this is actually but some users may not want to because there's a high chance. It'll either be left as unhandled or marked as bad.
