What happened:


I started crypto gambling in 2021 and had been playing on Stake for a long time. Recently, however, the experience on Stake hasn’t been very good, so I decided to switch to another platform. I remembered Sportsbet.io from before, so I moved here and created an account.

At first I got a bit carried away. After playing for a while, just before going to sleep, I suddenly decided to play a couple more rounds. I played two more times and unexpectedly lost a little. Although I was still in overall profit, for some reason I became emotional and ended up going all in. Fortunately, I managed to win back nearly double my balance.

I deposited 41 mBTC and eventually reached a balance of nearly 98 mBTC. After completing the KYC process, I decided to withdraw. However, when I woke up this morning, I found that my withdrawal request had been canceled. When I contacted customer support, they simply told me that they were “investigating” and that it would take five days, without giving any reason.

After searching online, I discovered that Sportsbet.io is actually planning to shut down soon. I also found a post made by their representative here, which is why I decided to create an account on this forum and share everything I have experienced. In the following posts, I will also provide my betting records.

When I play blackjack, I prefer choosing an empty table. I don’t like having other players at the table because it avoids thoughts like why did he hit or stand, and prevents me from blaming my own mistakes on someone else’s decisions.

I’m not sure whether this behavior somehow led to my account being restricted, but I have not done anything that violates their Terms of Service.


I read in previous posts that Sportsbet.io will continue operating with minimal staff. I’m not sure whether this is the reason behind the unprofessional handling of my case, but aside from this issue, the customer support response time has still been quite fast.

I read in previous posts that Sportsbet.io will continue operating with minimal staff. I’m not sure whether this is the reason behind the unprofessional handling of my case, but aside from this issue, the customer support response time has still been quite fast.
I don’t think anyone from Sportsbet.io will respond to your post since they have already left this forum. I mean as far as I know, no representative from Sportsbet.io is currently active here. There have been some concerns about Sportsbet.io posted here recently too and they also didn’t receive any response..
My advice is to stick with their online support. Like you said, their live support is very quick to respond.

Yes, often people do this. They search about the platform when they have trouble with the platform. Victims don't bother to search or investigate before gambling or investing on the platform. If they search before then, it might save them a lot from scamming. However, there would be some reason why they cancelled your withdrawal; you have to talk with their support. Because I don't think they are going to solve issues from the forum. Also, you may try to write on their announcement thread in the gambling section.

However, instead, write a bigger story; it is better to keep your scam accusation thread simple. If the post is too long, often users don't want to read. We really don't need to understand the story; we just need to know how the platform scammed you and related documents. Also, you must need to follow the scam report format from the post, so it will be easy to understand.

Also, when they said they are investigating, they are probably verifying your KYC or checking your bets to see if foul play happened. Sadly, this kind of case is not uncommon in online casinos, and I've seen a lot of gamblers complain about it over the years.

Reading your post and the screenshot you shared, I am assuming that you only played casino games and not sports betting. If so, you should try posting this on casino.guru, they don't accept sportsbetting related cases(as far as I know), but they do accept casino games cases. Also, you could try waiting until their investigation is done.

Surprisingly read that sportsbet io will shut down operations as I thought they were just shutting down the representation in bitcointalk forum after closing their signature campaign recently. However, I remember one of the global mods still wearing their signature.
Anyway, shutting down doesn't mean ignore support tickets and stop responding to complaints. As long as they still operate, every valid complaint should get its response through official channels, because only hopeless people seek shelter in forums and other platforms after found no solutions.

Thank you, I want to keep the story short, but I would also want more details inside, because I think there will be more reader in the future who maybe in the same or similiar situation. That is the reason why I want to share my experience here.
