You can call it a lucky day for you, but I want to ask, did you do a logical analysis on sports data before placing the bet, or did you just pick some random numbers and place your bet because that is what some players who are lucky enough to win games say they do and it turns out to favour them but logically, we know they did not do any analysis but were just so lucky to have won their bets while those who did a good analysis are just stocked up win nothing.

The thing is, you need luck even when you do proper analysis, remember that this research and analysis you are carrying out does not really control the game.you can do everything it takes to reduce losses but at end of the day it doesn't guarantee wins. I have experienced with sport betting specially at football matches, sometime indeed you place bet for favorite team can't guarantee you win because many time football matches result can't predictable. I see someone loss much money at polymarket after placing bet for the games Atletico Madrid vs Barcelona and his bet placing for Barcelona because all sport bookies favoriting Barcelona would be the winner.
But totally wrong prediction and Atletico Madrid easily for winning the match, indeed you can win 8 of 10 matches in sport betting but its can't avoid you from loss predicting one day later not matter you place bet for the most favorite team winning the games. You are right, that's the best thing to do, even though there is no specific strategy that works efficiently in gambling, but in sports betting you can have a method that might give you more wins that using a different method, it's unlike when some bettors would say they have more win because they bet only on underdog but that same method would not be giving more returns to another bettor, it is a different option that would give more wins to the person. After hundreds of bets, you can start to feel more confident, and after thousands, you can start to draw conclusions. Yeah, I will do the same. My win rate recently is like 4 of 10, and sometimes lower than that. Even with all the research and analysis, I get it wrong due to sometimes being an emotional gambler, and there are traps that are difficult to see. The spreads can also affect the bets. The desire to win a higher amount while choosing odds like x1.80 above, with spreads that will probably not hit, although the team will still win. I decided to take the greedy path and put high spreads to increase the multiplier.
All of that, when taken into consideration, can make a gambler lose a bet, and 8 of 10 will probably be a miracle for a week of betting in singles.

There is nothing much or extraordinary to consider other than giving yourself to sport knowledge, I've always emphasized on the fact that sports betting is a knowledge based type of gambling though some people still mistake it for a skill based game which I've always and will always disagree..

Someone who wants to start betting on sports will make sure to start watching the type of match he or she wishes to start betting on, for example, if your interest is to start betting on football games, you must give yourself to start watching football matches, reading news related to football games and the league, players, managers etc involved in football games.

Honestly gambling is all about luck, no matter how experienced you are, if luck is not with you, you cannot win.

Now where the more time you spend, the better results you can expect, here your experience will increase but you cannot expect to win for sure, you have to rely on your luck. Anyway, last February 13th I bet on Australia, I was confident but in the end Australia lost to Zimbabwe. Now when you bet on sports, you can be a bit confident, but if you are not lucky, you cannot win. When it comes to prediction, you can never get it accurately, and when it comes to gambling, its just a matter of luck (as they would say) and nobody is an epitome of luck on their own as it happens suddenly. Honestly, I'm not sure if OP knows what he is about getting to, this is how some gamblers normally forget the role of luck while gambling. It's essential to be on the fun and entertainment with only what you can easily afford to lose because gambling is not a get rich overnight so we shouldn't rely heavily in the game since we can afford to get a win without luck being on your side.

Sometimes we are the ones that  is causing some unnecessary losses then after sometime they would start shifting it to the casino knowing fully well that nobody force you into another pattern.
