By virtue of gambling, I'm also one of those who could proudly say that I'm a sports bettor, to gamble is not by being a regular gambler or not, because we are not marking attendance to show ourselves approved or qualified to gamble, neither are we doing this to impress anyone for any reason, rather, we are all gambling for self-satisfaction and this must always be considered each time we are gambling, so that whenever we don't meet up with some targets, we let go and move on without being discouraged because there will always be another time.

This should not be about whether you are a regular gambler or you gamble less frequent, you need to check yourself whether you are really making profits from gambling and that is what will define you whether you are a profitable gambler of not.
There are people that don't gambler often but they are profitable. How frequently you gamble does not really matters but what is important is how far you are making profits.

I'm opening this topic to have some opinion on sports betting . I'm not an regular sports bettor , I've a close friend who regularly place bet's on sport's game. I see him often lose from sports betting. I occasionally play sport's betting. But it seems like my prediction are more accurate day by day.

As for now my winning streak is 8 out of 10 . I play very few matches when I like to play some sport's betting. So I'm wondering if I should spent more time on Sports betting or not.

It could be possible you are being favored by what people call "beginners luck". Though, I won't lie, up to 80 percent of accuracy is very good.

Perhaps you could give sport betting some of your time and see if you can improve your average accuracy a little more, of you can't, then see sportbetting as nothing but a way to distract yourself and burn some spare time after a long day of work.

On the other hand, if you manage to get better and get some money off betting, then you should consider to permanently dedicate some of your time to it everyday.

You're lucky and don't be so emotional but keep on going with it because you've probably got some good way of placing bets because you analyze first.

that is true, if you winning constantly for a period of 1 week or a period of 1 month in gambling does not make you a professional gambler, gambling is a game of luck and which I know very well that winning in gambling is something that is not sure so I have not seen any professional in gambling so therefore whatever thing we are doing in gambling we should know that our willing come from luck not by what we have achieved or the kind of winning we experience within one week or 1 month time, I constantly saying that the gambling winning is by opportunity even someone who does not have experience on gambling can stake today and win tomorrow.

If you read the tunes of the Op, he does not seem to claim being a professional bettor rather distinguishing his bet strategy and that of his friend.
But if he thinks winning 8/10 of his bet as an irregular bettor, makes him a professional, then he should compete with his friend who bets on the regular and losses more.
Maybe he was full of hype because he never talked about how many games his friend had played and game results like his own.

Nah, don’t, believe me. If you’re just betting occasionally and making wins, then just continue doing it. Don’t let your stats make you imagine things. Your problem will probably start once your confidence soars and you let that take over. As long as you can control yourself and your emotions, just stick with it. It's not luck, but I'm sure you do a little analysis before placing a bet on a particular match. And if you've managed to win 8 out of 10 matches so far, it's best not to get overconfident and bet bigger or on more matches. It's better to stick with your usual strategy without changing your betting style. This way, you'll be more comfortable betting and studying each match to gain the right analysis for the next one.

It's common for bettors to start hot or go on a heater, then never recover once they go cold. I'd say luck plays a part in your winning streak, but it's still not easy to pull off when the most favored players and teams can lose at any time of the day.

That said, it wouldn't hurt to spend more time on gambling as long as you don't take it too seriously and treat it like a hobby.

Well, from what I understand in all you have said, you don't bet regularly and that gives you the thought of always filtering your games before you bet, if you start betting regularly, you might start feeling less concern or you might start lacking the ability to concentrate only on high probability games and that can reduce your chance of winning. I assume that OP is good at sports betting. I know some gamblers who are very skillful in sports betting and win more than they lose. However, winning consistently within a period is not a sure proof that you will always win consistently. Some of these sports game outcomes are unpredictable. You would be surprised to see a low-placed club winning one of the best sides.

My suggestion is that OP should continue gambling periodically as he used to do. Let him not have the mentality that he is good at sports betting because overconfidence might lead to too many losses.

This is entirely of your own choosing, spending more time in it doesn't guarantee you are going to continue being successful in it, don't ever expect much from gambling. It would be better if you used this energy you want to invest into gambling in something else and continue as you're and cool. Investing more time in gambling after my 2 big wins years ago was what landed me into addiction on the long run.

Your prediction were good and you still had luck that it came in your favour, teams in better position messes up sometimes. No one ever believed Manchester united would struggle to have a draw with WestHam or that Arsenal would end up having a draw with Brighton, the worst of it all being that Barcelona were not able to score against ATH and were humiliated with the scoreline 4:0 yesterday.

I will tell you here that since the word bet is mentioned here, of course there is a matter of luck here, so I will tell you that you should not be overconfident when you are betting on sports regularly. Because if you become overconfident, it may be that you are betting beyond your ability to lose and if you lose by chance, then you will face trouble. Of course, it's true. Every gambler with their own luck and their gambling strategies. What will work for me might not work for you. If I gamble occasionally, is not that I lose all the time but if I win today, the next time I bet will be a loss. However, that doesn't mean that if I start gambling often, my bets will play out that way.

When an irregular gambler who doesn't gamble too much but wins most of his bets considers going pro, they will not be winning as much as they are winning again because things will change in them, and they will be more focused on profit than just doing it the same way it was being done when they gambled occasionally, adding to the fact that something you are doing regularly has a higher chance of recording much loss compared to the few times you were doing it before.
