Every generation is different. People evolve. Technology evolve. Economies evolve. I came across someone who explained that each generation has an advantage of their own based on their time. Back then land was cheap because not much was built on it. They were able to capitalize on that when businesses started looking for land to stand on. That was our parents' generational advantage. Now for the next generation, businesses became the trend. Since businesses were only starting out there wasn't much competition yet. If you built a mall here, there wasn't much malls around yet so everyone went into yours. Now for our kids their generational advantage is social media. I won’t say dumber , is more of lazier due to advance technology in their reach . I won’t blame them though as technology and economics advances things tend to change,  In the past, many tools required a lot of manual labor. Today, machines do most of the heavy work, so people don’t need the same level of physical effort. That doesn’t necessarily mean they’re lazy  it means the environment has changed. . Tbh this generation are actually smart due to the exposure of advance technology at early ages , Some children can operate mobile devices almost as soon as they begin speaking.

Regarding social doesn’t generate profits . It actually boils down on how that particular individual make use of it ,social media is more of entertainment focused , but the broader internet provides access to valuable information. With proper research, people can learn almost anything more easily than before.

But what you forget to consider is that each era and its opportunities come from the perspective of the people in that era. Though you have made a vital point, there seams to be a serious problem with what we have come to know as social media era where people can easily earn from their social media account. what this has brought out is a situation where people are no longer as hard working as necessary because of the general knowledge that with a simple content, you can earn far more than  the real people that are actually affecting the world positively.

Yes the generational difference is a real thing. The cycle of life is repeating, as they find it hard to understand what or how the young generation is doing and making that much money. They tag it as scam work, in their povs this is nothing like not sustainable source of income. They might even struggle in getting real clients for their own work but when their nexr generation tell them they are facing some problems in the online work they started, their words are same, this is not a stable source of income, go find a job which at least can pay you money every single month.  Haha.

I can't agree more, even though we are getting old, and the new generation is so smart and easily understands what technology is. Sometimes I don't understand them, and if you understand what is their 6 7 meme means, then I will say you don't have generational differences for now but I can't understand what that means.

I don't think that people understood the advantage that they had at the time, it only becomes apparent decades later and we contemplate on these things in hindsight. There are different opportunities to grab for a few people who have their eyes open with a bit of luck, just look at bitcoin - some people found immense wealth by buying in when one was for sale at a hundred dollars or less. Don't be so quick to assume that these opportunities are not available, you can still find bargains in land of you monitor it, jump on opportunities and have the capital saved up ready to go.

I think it is even easier to buy land and do any kind of business in today's world, the world that has been so much influenced by technology and AI. The things that existed in the past that couldn't transform itself to the modern reality did more harm to itself than good because even artisans who have modernized their business with latest tech are benefiting more in jobs. Like if you advertise your craft on your social media pages, you are sure to get more patronage than it was stationed in the analogue age. Now, you can order for products and stay right in your confine and it is delivered to you in your comfort zone and convenient time. Life is easier now than in the past. The tech AI age is giving more value to even things that existed in the past. Talking about land buying, land agents and property management dealers and companies sample different lands and property, cars etc online for you to make your enquiry, choice and payment. Therefore, you can be far away but still near with AI to deal on whatever you want.

What you see as evolvement, I see as regression. We are heading into more artificial times, where people are getting more artificial on relationships, services and products they consume. AI is a very interesting tool, but at same time, it also introduce us into a more meaningless era, where everything will be disposable.

I remember watching a movie in the early 2000's and thinking about it all day long, and even for the following days. Now you watch something on Youtube and you have already forgot it by the next hour. We are bombarded by short content all day long, just to generate profit for someone else. The world is evolving and for you to stand at a great advantage in the competitive world, you need to evolve and make what you do to make money be the same as what others are doing now. In my country side, there are some public servant, the salary they are earning from government is just not enough buy them land within one year of their service, unlike 2 decade ago, they can even buy lands just after working for a few  months but right now, a public servant will work for almost 10 years and might have not been able to save enough money to buy a land, house or different land properties like shops or place, meanwhile  it is now the smart youths who are earning huge amount from different internet activities that are able to buy land, house or cars more quickly than a public servant. I agree, the opportunity that this generation is experiencing was different from our grandfathers,  our grandfathers has the opportunity to buy properties at a cheap price then.
