A very long time ago while growing up, I experienced one financial mistake made by a neighbour and even though I was very young, I spotted it as a financial mistake. Way back in those days, the man had to sell his motorcycle to be able to buy Val's gift for his friend even though he was only a biker he still sold his source of income for Val's sake.

Bitcoin is our own asset and our hope. I see bitcoin as hope for the future and not just as something anybody can sell anytime for a careless reason like this. Do not allow your self to be pressured into selling all or part of your bitcoin for the sake of Val because it is like selling your future for a short term pleasure. That gift can wait, don't spend your future because you want to please anyone or because you want to hear Awwwn.

Why not if you wanted to be smarter in doing this and also applying more creativity by selling at this. Just to have another opportunity of reinvesting back into Bitcoin, and this is how it may work, we may decided to sell now to celebrate the lover's day and targeted when the market dips around $60,000 or below and we buy again and reinvest, the aim of this suggestion is not just only sell but having the mindset of taking the profit after selling and then buying the deep and holding.

Is it because it's Valentine's Day, that it now makes it feel like selling some part of Bitcoin for Val day is a wrong move? Many of us have sold our Bitcoin countless times on a normal day and it just feels like we did nothing wrong to sell our Bitcoin to procure certain things.

The thing that is there, someone should make sure they buy back Bitcoin if the money is available. They shouldn't just sell and refuse to buy back. They should buy when their funds are available

You are right sir, for sure you have every right in selling off a portion or even all of your Bitcoin if you wish because you own it, but i think the op is just trying to be  more caring to  some folks that will actually want to sell off their entire fortune just to prove a point or trying to impress a woman that probably has no feelings for them and perhaps seeing someone else.

However, today is valentine a day most dudes normally show love to their love once and if for that reason anyone decided to touch some of his assets just to make today remarkable with his love once I don't think that's a bad idea, the point there is just for one to apply some level of common sense so we  wouldn't fall out of business for just a day pleasure.

A person is free to sell his Bitcoin for any purpose, if he sells it in the right way. Selling an investment in the initial journey of investment is definitely a wrong step and I would discourage selling for such an event. Our young society now does a lot to please their partner, I do not think it is at all unnecessary. However, pleasing a girlfriend or partner is not so important that you have to sell the investment at a crucial time of investment.

However, if you reach a stage where you have enough Bitcoin and there are positive circumstances to sell part of the investment, then you can definitely enjoy selling some part or sell it for any cost.

Valentine doesn't mean it is a day to spend all the money you have or to make a wrong decision. You can show love in the little ways you can, and it doesn't necessarily mean one has to sell valuable items to celebrate Valentine. A real investor is not distracted by seasons or celebrations; instead, they focus on accumulating more Bitcoin.

Times like this will always come and go, and if you don't focus on creating value by investing, that means you are just dragging yourself backward. Invest today and make a good profit, then you can celebrate tomorrow rather than going for what does not have value.

Who does this, I do not think a serious investor will want to think this, in as much as I know that some persons can do anything for the sake Val, I do not think things should be taken to that extent, Val is just a day, of what importance is it for any investor to deem it necessary to withdraw from his hodlings all in the name of Val stuff, this is not adviceable, we got our decisions and even as the op mentioned this, if we lool around the world, there are people that have done this already, but that is their decision, celebration of love is good, but better planned than seeking alternatives from existing asset that has not matured yet.

Showing love in Val day isn't bad and also selling your bitcoin just to suprise someone isn't bad neither, the thing is that before thinking of this have make a plan let it not look as if you were being pressured is like sacrificing your long term progress because of shor term celebration that will pass after a day. Something that do give you long term worth and future safety just because you want to impress someone just for a day you will just throw your future away just like that and satisfy your emotions

Having financial knowledge is all about planning, don't allow emotions pressure to make you make decisions that you will regret tomorrow and say had I known because you will be sweet today and forgetting that your tomorrow matters alot, am not saying that you can gift someone but do it wisely make sure you have set your priorities and plans first

A normal person will never sell his asset i mean what that gives him money just to buy a valentine gift for a friend if he is a man with family and his children is in school how will he be able to take care of his family? There are mistakes people should do just to impress the next man.
Bitcoin is a hope for the future but we shouldn't put all hope in bitcoin we should try and also have other things that can also fetch us money, bitcoin is not guaranteed to make us rich in the future but if at the end we are successful we thank God if things don't also go as we have plan we also move on. valentine day shouldn't make us do things we will later regret and feel bad when bitcoin start doing well in the future, i see everyday as a lover day let's not do careless things because of this so called Val.

I do not agree to this story because it is not clear, why will a bike rider sold his motorcycle because he want to buy Val gifts for his friends? This is not a clear story, besides the bike is his only source of income. Is the biker a good Samaritan or a Santa Claus sent down from heaven to share gifts? I'm not sure you take your time to process what you are were thinking before you write them.

Do you know that anyone can gift their Bitcoin to their love ones?

Gifting Bitcoin to love ones or friends also helps others to know about bitcoin. It is right not to be pressured by celebrations but giving out bitcoin willing helps others to know what Bitcoin is all about.

Love your significant other, if you plan something good for them and they are deserving of it you can sell some bitcoin to get it for them.
It is not bad if you sell bitcoin just to show love to someone special to you.
Make the Valentine special for that person and it doesn’t much.

No matter how I love my girlfriend or my friend i will never sell any of my properties to buy gift for her because of Val, it will never happen unless i don’t know what I’m doing, how can someone in his right senses think of selling his bitcoin to buy something for another person, when it comes to my bitcoin I don’t joke with it because that is what i hope for in the future, so i will not do what i will regret at the end when no one send me or force me to buy them val gift.

I know that love is something different and it can make you do whatever it is to make your partner happy but selling your bitcoin is not a good idea, you can work for the money and buy something for her because immediately you touch your bitcoin it will be become what you will be selling when you have financial problems.

Bitcoin is the future asset, when you buy Bitcoin and hold it for a long time with confidence, you can gradually achieve success. I think it is unreasonable to make a decision to sell Bitcoin based on emotion without thinking anything. An investor needs a reliable earning to buy and hold Bitcoin with a long-term plan. It is better to buy Bitcoin with the money we have left over after deducting all our necessary expenses. In addition, we should keep an emergency fund so that if we encounter danger in the future, we do not need to sell our future assets to get out of it. We can recover from the danger through the emergency fund and retain our assets. I think selling Bitcoin based on emotion is nothing more than completely unreasonable.

Please understand me, relations aren't same for every body, your relation may not be as important to you the way mine is important to me, so if my partner is someone I cherish so much and place him or her over everything else in my life, what is bitcoin I cannot sell for their sake? What if he or she was very sick and the only way to save his or her life was for me to sell a small part of my bitcoin to raise money for medication?

You can always buy back bitcoin later, but the small gift you give to a truly worthy partner to make him or her happy can open doors to you from which you will make money enough to buy way more bitcoins that you never thought was possible for you to own.
You have the right to do anything you like with your bitcoin because just like you said, it belongs to you and you are the one that bought it. But there has always been other days when you have the time to buy her gifts and you will also have more days after today to buy those gifts. I am not trying to stop you or undermine the love you have for whosoever. But then, bitcoin is supposed to be an asset for the future and it won't be fair or financially wise to sell the future for the sake of one day. Valentine happens every year and anyone that loves his partner will always get a gift on a daily basis.

Bitcoin price is really shaking now and I am sure that any bitcoin you bought last year, if you sell today for Val's sake, you will be selling at loss because of the price drop. There are over a million reasons to sell for Val, but as an investor you will also have over a million reasons not to sell. A partner that truly wants you won't leave because of today alone.

You are very correct and you have said it all. Pleasing a girlfriend is good but it is not so important that you will sell your future especially for people who have not stayed long in the bitcoin investment. For some people who started buying bitcoin even when the price was $20k can sell because they have already made a good profit no matter the current price of bitcoin. But if you just joined bitcoin not long ago and you decide to sell for emotions, there's nothing wrong but you have wasted your chances of making a profit later

Someone who sells his bitcoin today to buy gift may not even buy back anytime soon because selling your bitcoin to buy gift means you don't have any other money elsewhere so it will be difficult for you to buy back. You have said it all about when a person has enough bitcoin already, that is when he would probably choose to sell anytime he wants.

Some people absolutely have to be a part of the Valentine's Day celebration but a smart person in this group would have definitely planned for it before hand, selling your bitcoin too early is never the better option even in a situation like this one but you could have been diverting a percentage of your discretionary income to use as a part of the day's celebration, Nd that's why I mentioned planning before hand, you cannot be completely broke and be planning on spending money on Valentine's Day instead you need to at least be generating a good amount of discretionary income, enough for you to have been saving for some previous weeks before the D-day.

But this is funny? Even the topic is funny!

I don't see any valid reason why anyone will sell their Bitcoin for Valentie, like who are you trying to impress? There are many valentines that will come and will pass, there are many that has been done when I have not even know about the existence of Bitcoin and I didn't die when I refused to celebrate those valentine, it's now that I will sell my investment because I want to impress one girl that will leave me for another man if they get revenge the opportunity.

Many people don't learn from others, there was a guy that loss his relationship during bear market, the one before this one and guess what, the guy is back, he was lucky to make some airdrops and life changing money. This same guy now doesn't care about relationship now even with the money. I'm sure there are people that has swap their Bitcoin for some cheap Naira especially seeing how the Naira currency has gained recently, don't mind them they will come back again.

It will be very stupid to engage in such act for some temporary feelings, some gestures that may not even be appreciated enough by the ones you are doing such gestures from, it is too much of a sacrifice totally makes which is very likely to be regretbale in the long run. If we must gift it should be such that is within our capacity and the person who is receiving it if such a person is our pattern as supposed, they too would and should be able to understand our capacity and that which we may not be able to do an not drive us to a point that will not be favourable for us and eventually they may leave.
