Your first mistake wasn’t losing, it was chasing big big odds without understanding what they truly represent. High odds look attractive, but most times they reflect low probability, and without solid analysis of team form, motivation, injuries, and stats, it becomes more like guessing than predicting. I don't remember clearly what happened with my first bet ever but I knew I started well as a gambler which is why I still gamble till date.  Assuming I started with serious of losses, I may not have been gambling now because I'm a little Conservative and easily evaluate situations to gauge my progress. I won't say I'm doing badly in gambling now although, there will aways room for improvement so I will be able to win the kind of money I desire in gambling.

My first stake back then is on NBA which I manage to win. I’m using cloudbet before as my first sportsbook but back then I have no interest on sportsbetting since sports live stream is not easy to access compared now that there’s a lot of site that offers free live stream.

This reminds me of the first time I placed a pool bet. There is a coupon office close to my dad's shop, which I see elderly men enter almost every day early in the morning. I can not remember what happened in my first bet, but the simple truth is that the first day is always like that for gamblers due to the fact that you must want to win the game by force.

I know what that is required to have a higher chance to win the first time that I bet but I did not make use of past matches result nor made use of any stat than choosing the lowest odds like 1.25 odds. It's a norm, you don't expect to win a game you have zero knowledge on. You started gambling for profit which was why you went for big odds. Mine wasn't like that because I'm a football fan and already have the knowledge. However, my first bet was a lost too because my prediction was wrong. Maybe your first mistake is really looking for that big odds, sort of looking for the underdog to win. That's why  they're the underdog as being set by odd makers because chances are low that they win, or pull a upset. I remember years ago with a fellow sports bettors of my father. He would chase that underdog always in every game and there are days that no underdog are going to win, and days that 1 or 2 will win. But if you counted how much he win, he will still be in the negative despite like winning x5 or higher on one of his underdog spree. So it's better not to look for the bigger odds, but do analyze the game base on it's face value. Maybe a good handicap could be better if you don't like better on the ML on favorite because of the low odds.

So If I'm not mistaken,basically, you have no idea about the sport you choose to place your bet on? Because you mentioned, you have no idea how to predict the game and that you choose to put your bets on the underdogs, right?
If that is the case, your first mistake is not being able to familiarize the sport first before placing some bets. Second, is that you placed a bet on an underdog who have the lowest chances of winning, since you mentioned it's a big odd.
And third, you placed multiple bets in your first try.
It's pretty hard to bet on underdogs, especially if you're not so familiar with the team's capacity, plus when you have not made any research before deciding to bet.

My first sports betting was a win, because it's a smaller odd straight money line with the most favoured team to win.

The hope that I want is of course win and not lose. But we can't expects too high especially we are new in sports betting and don't know how analyzing or making predictions.
