I can't even imagine what he's going to do now. Internal tension has been accumulating in a person for many years, and the deaths of loved ones have served as a trigger for this tension to break out. I think it's about him not being mentally healthy enough that he thinks gambling is a way to escape reality, in what world does that make sense? It might make sense to alot of you but I personally don't see it, greed might not have been the reason but escaping reality sounds too much like an attempt to actually cover why he decided to gamble with that amount of money, I was most likely not a single bet so he had to have placed a couple of bets over a period of time, maybe a really close time interval, chances are that he was already a gambling addict so in that moment of confusion his addiction simply compelled him to go and gamble, definitely not to escape any reality of any kind.

Depression is the real killer on this story since he will not gamble if the dad and cousin didn’t died. He can be addicted too on substance and other vices which he relieve stress temporarily.

But the sad part on gambling is it was very costly. So sad to hear a news like this.

It is very sad that this guys has lost so many family members, but looking for solution or hide from reality in gambling? that wasnt a smart move at all. In such stories I am always curious where are poor guys friend or other family members? How come they dont notice that he is feeling bad, in depression and destroying his life? All that can be hidden well, but, how can an adult be not so smart to use gambling as a way to escape depression?

P.S. this hasnt published in newspapers, because they dont post such life stories anymore. This might be posted on some low level social news media, but it is full of such articles already. To tell one more time how people destroy their life with gambling? There is not trend for that today among news.

Newspaper doesn't need to publish this, it's one out of thousands cases in the United states for example, many stories like this don't make it to newspapers unless something made it happen, thanks to the internet that we can even know about this one, many people aren't so lucky with life and it's sad.

What happened to this person can't be solved by gambling, it will only make things suck even more, the only way such person can find hope again is letting go of themselves and their feelings then look for something or someone to raise, someone they can't do without, a stray kid or animal, in time such person can heal.

I read this unfortunate man's post. Who's to blame for his life? The Stake? Gambling? The casino in this story is merely a consequence of a tragic fate, not the root cause.

If a person isn't trying to change their life, but is trying to "find salvation" in gambling, then it's foolish to blame gambling. This gambler had almost $200,000 - a considerable sum. What prevented him from using this money for good purposes? Nothing. Or did he want to turn this money into $200 million?

In life, there are always opportunities to "change your destiny", which, more often than not, people are unwilling to take advantage of, because it requires effort and exertion. After wasting resources (time, money, health, social connections), people begin to whine about their bad luck, and in this case, they start to claim that gambling is the source of their troubles.

Stop whining. Overcome your weak ego. And start doing something. Anything to change your life for the better.

Or give up. But also, stop whining. Why project your failed story onto others if you haven't even tried to change?

Gambling has always been a form of entertainment; with his salary he should be thinking about serious investments and serious businesses, not looking at gambling as a way to escape his problems. The gap in destiny between the citizens of first world countries and those who live in hard conditions in our societies is wide leading to a huge gap in empathy. This is another example for those who say they want to use gambling as escape route to boredom because it is not, you will end up losing what you have from chasing your loses. It is better if you want to gamble then you make your mind up on how much you want to budget on it and if it is exhausted, you move away (and that is the hardest part  ).

He put his life on hold and worked his youthful time to park it up with stake. Stake is not the problem rather he was misguided because it would have been another casino. It is unfortunate he lost that huge because of greed. He had given himself a life that he would have built on such capital to invest on bitcoin at least but he got wrong advise to go gambling. We have a different way of coping mechanisms in life it seems that he found it out in playing gambling but apparently not all players in the gambling casino have a luck and skills to win the game sad is he ended up lossing his money for nothing instead use that in a different way that helps him a lot in life, seems on his statement he made a regrets in life and brings stress than happiness. This is really a sad tale.. but you know what this is why it's very important to allow kids to mingle with friends to avoid feeling isolated so that they build that needed social intelligence and have someone to talk to besides their family members! From my reading, this almost sounds like this person is blaming the parents for his loneliness otherwise sad reading, let him maybe find something that will make him social again like sports,church etc or better yet find a girlfriend buddy, don't drown in your thoughts and gambling shouldn't be your social hideout!!

It's really hard to deal with that kind of situation. However, even though that specific life struggle is extremely severe, I am confident that the Almighty will not permit him to encounter a trial that he cannot conquer. Hearing about incidents of such nature is quite depressing; I sincerely hope he has already overcome his challenges.

We must therefore exercise self-control and self-discipline in order to deal with unforeseen circumstances. When we notice that our circumstances are being jeopardized by gambling,

First of all, it's very stupid to write your opinion until you've read the full story. I read it, although it was difficult. There is a lot of drama, but sometimes it happens, and the guy is not alone in his life events. It seems that his health was initially not all right, if we talk about socialization. Even in the new places we are moving to, there are people living. You can always find someone who can help you not be lonely. In short, his psyche is not in order, and his age, which he speaks so sadly about, is actually very young. Gambling in such situations will certainly worsen the condition. Living in first world countries maybe privilege still it's not guaranteed to have happy because difficulties and problems are all around but have different ways, living in third world countries is surely not easy still have many benefits which always keep things on good level and provide happiness.

There is no doubt that gambling is always ways of entertainment, but mostly peoples with not strong mindset have problematic end like this guy, it's not that he is living in first world, and he can't face things like these but here now he has to live terrible life because things are not easy to manage, always have solid strategy and bankroll management can hope alive for stay on good level.
