Sometimes it May not be that the guy in question was going about telling people he is a Bitcoin investor, but could be something he told to a close friend or besty, and the person he confided in may just decided to tell others and the information will spread and looks like he was the one going about telling people about his investment. Assuming the story talked about how he was forced to transfer all the assets that he holds in crypto, then we could have said it's because of his loud mouth that attracts the attention to him, but in this case, those people could just be regular thugs who don't know he is even involved in crypto but fish him out to be their target based on his dressing, and it appears some people wear expensive jewelry, which puts attention on them without them even realizing it's not always about announcing that you are rich, but moving into a clubhouse or a busy area with a wristwatch worth millions of naira already makes you a public target by those who could identify what you wear.

Because one thing I have to realization is that in our Nigerian society is that when ever people are talking about Bitcoin or anyone who is seen to be involved in Bitcoin the sport light is on such a person. Whether the person is just a pro in Bitcoin or not people who are not into Bitcoin don't know that it's not everyone who is into Bitcoin is rich as some are just beginners, so it better that you stay low key and don't try to show off because you don't know the mind of anyone close to you or even those watching from afar.

Therefore, it is better not to indulge in hobbies, keep working quietly and enjoy your life in a healthy way. I might’ve shared some stories long ago on x one time, I kind of had a friend like that which he was to opened mouthed all the time infact it got to an extent where every single thing he does on his wallet he like to share it on he whatapp and as God would have it he was been robbed on a spot and his phone and so many others property where been collected, and only that turn he and teaching lessons and I guess since then he has never share thing like bitcoin or any digital currencies online again, so I think most people need to pass through such kind of experience before they would learn and start keeping things to there self.
