Ban Appeal Request

‎I just want to make it clear and to say what is on my mind and clear out my mind, the punishment that was served to my account was undeserving because I'm not guilty of that.

‎Like I said in my first comment on that thread, I saw @PrimeNumber7 thread, I read through it and also read through the few comments on the threads, but no body followed the instruction and I decided to do so.   Was that my wrong?  because I decided to follow instruction on that topic, that was why I was being accused of using AI and then my account got banned.

‎It shows how pathetic some of you are on this forum, especially @Loycev, that was the least I expected from an experience member like you, you took a rash action without accessing the situation to confirm if the accusation poured on me is true or not.

‎Now my account is banned for a rule I didn't break, Admins and moderators, @theymos, please open my case and reaccess it again, I have not used any AI to write a single comment on my account since I was a newbies till my account got banned, I have never used any AI.  The punishment I got is something I'm not guilty of and I just want to state the obvious.

How humble of you? Creating a ban appeal but as the same time attacking other forum members who you think might have caused you account to get banned in the same post. It is some mods/admins who ban the accounts, not LoyceV.
This is the time you should try to get members to support you but with that kind of attitude, I can only wish you good luck.

I can see that you were given just a normal neutral tag, so there is really no need to be so worried about it. From what I know, getting such a tag in the forum does not stop anyone from posting, even people with red tags are still able to post.

As far as I know, long signature bans usually come with a shorter ban for the entire account.

I haven't understood something, I read on the previous topic that the OP was signature banned, why is he creating a topic from a new, secondary account, since he can also post from his main account? Dude, you got what you deserved and your reply that @TypoTonic quoted here is basically an admittion of guilt; you said you were fine with whatever decision was taken, which means you knew what was possibly coming to you, but perhaps, you didn't believe it have such an outcome.

You'd be way better off taking responsibility of your actions and see what you did wrong, but instead, you're accusing other members, such as LoyceV, but not yourself. It would also be much better to not create an alt account and wait your ban to end, since it's not permanent and you're lucky it isn't.

That makes sense, I guess. That's the only way you should deal with it OP and not make your already bad situation worse. Using AI is one thing, not taking responsibility two, but pointing the finger to other members isn't going to get you far, especially for a ban that's supposed to be temporary. Waiting it out is your best option, but it seems you've already made it worse with this thread, so I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up extended.

Well, it’s not obvious that the OP isn’t fine with what the account got but from an evidence stand point and the trap which I find very clever and hope to see a lot of them happening on the forum, it’s absolute and such a clever way to sniff out those using these AI to spam and spread words that doesn’t carry any human feelings about them on the forum.

The ban appeal though, that’s in no way to make an appeal. The OP probably got the idea that banned accounts gets to appeal from a different account but, that’s only in the case of a temp ban and permanent ban where you are restricted from making any post on the forum.

OP didn’t just get a signature ban but, a temp ban was applied which makes the creation of a new account reasonable but the appeal though, certainly not the way to make an appeal and name calling doesn’t help either.

OP, your tone isn't correct for an appeal, you know what you've done and for that you got signature ban for a year if I'm not wrong. Instead of admitting your mistake you're accusing the members who haven't done anything to you.

I suggest you to learn from your mistakes and instead of making a tone that's filled with anger, you may ask gently and request Theymos with a proper appeal.

I think you missed some of previous posts.
As already said by LoyceV and Rikafip, Ivystar5 probably created a new account to appeal the ban because their main account was temporarily banned from posting and the signature ban was not the only restriction applied to the account.

Let him go by his words. After all, he said we should leave it to the mods or theymos, and they have done their part, so why is he complaining right now? It is ridiculous, isn't it?

If the user was banned for AI, well, is there any actual evidence they were using AI other than because they responded to that one post? Because their posts certainly do not exhibit the telltale signs we normally see.

If the user was banned for being a low-quality poster, that makes sense to me. And it should inspire some kind of fear in similar shitposters to do better.

I was really weak to respond to this thread again after you reminded me this, and of course I said it earlier so I just decided to go mute, while reading everything being said here and of course in the accusation thread.

I consider myself to be one of the luckiest person in this forum from today, just knowing that in a place where 99% said I was AI, only 1 which is more important than the 99, tried to believe me. I'm glad you did brother.

I can't comment on the other thread, I believe it's against the rule of ban Appeal I guess so not sure either.

Since you've got a signature ban, you might still use your account for posting just like any other member if I'm not wrong, however you won't be able to join any signature campaign for a year.

Your case is an interesting example because it highlights the debate of what constitutes an AI post, which until the other day, I thought could only be definitively determined with an AI detector.

You made your ban appeal without link to your banned account, do you assume that people and more important, forum admins, must search for your banned account?

I got it, I thought he was having a signature ban alone but since he's having a temp ban as well then in that case he won't be able to post from that account. I've checked profile of the member where I found the signature ban.

Although, none of the current AI detectors find any AI content in posts of the member but still the member got both bans, that means we still need to learn much about AI content, so now there're some ways to make AI generated content sound as genuine human written text.

If I'm not getting it wrong, it's still possible to catch the ones who generate content with the help of AI that can be detected with AI content detectors but there're some people who know how to play their game well, and thus it's hard to catch such people's AI generated content easily because they might've twisted the content in a way that could bypass all current AI content detectors.

Hallelujah, you did it . I don't know why, but I keep coming across your posts. Today you have recognized that the use of AI can become quite difficult to detect nowadays. This is what we discussed a couple of days ago.

But the question is, is there some evidence that this user is using AI.

Although, I would say that he uses AI as a translator; moreover, even those long dashes for which detectors rely on the use of AI are most likely the work of an interpreter. But the OP's posts, as it also seemed to me when viewing his posts, did not detect the use of AI as often as in the case of the given link.

What to do in such cases?
