Exactly, the times when TRC-20 (or any token on TRON) could still advertise their transactions as super cheap are long over. There are many cheaper alternatives.


@cryptofrka, just a suggestion you guys here may want to think about when running these contests.

I generally like this contest, but it usually ends up in many potential participants knowing they can't compete with the guys with deeper pockets, so they refrain entirely from participating. What about in a future contest like this you distribute tickets for every $100 volume traded, for instance. I think that way you would get many more people to take a shot and try out the service. It would still give an overwhelming advantage to those who easily create enormous trading volume, but you wouldn't shy away many other potential future users who now have a strong incentive to actually give the platform a shot because their perhaps 1 ticket gives them a chance to win something, and then they actually find the service convincing and remain customers.

You could define minimum amounts, for example when it is about completed trades with different pairs, a ticket would only be given when in the respective trading pair the total volume reaches X. If you say minimum trade amount is $20, someone going either $20 gets 1 ticket, someone going with $500 gets 25 tickets, so volume will always be paying off in any of the prize categories, but doesn't entirely delete chances to win something for smaller customers.

And ultimately you run the lottery at a predefined date for the announced prizes. It has some extra thrill and I guess even the not so rich users would swap more as they would like a few more tickets as the lottery comes closer.

I don't know how many potential users there are around for cross swapping platforms, but from the perspective of a platform to reach maximum advertising effect, I think the goal should be to stir as many users as possible to the platform and try it out.

To be fully honest, this was a bit of an uncharted territory for us. It is always an either/or case, hard to have both at the same time.
We do hope this is not the last such contest, and in some other instance a raffle system would be an option for sure - we did partially consider it here as well.

However, we do feel that we have a little bit of everything here. The whales will attack the first one (volume), but there is also a decent opportunity in the 'Most successful swaps completed' and 'Most different trading pairs completed' categories, which we do not feel whales will care much about.
If you make 10 of these, I feel you'll be close to some sort of a reward for sure.

One final thing to add - we didn't reveal all of our cards here. There might be something up our sleeve as well that will be in line with what you suggested

Me likey mv1986's suggestion, volume alone always tends to get eaten up by whales -- would also normally say software on exchanges with APIs, but don't suppose anyone's got a washtrade bot for b1eXch (those 2% fees will get you bad though).

Anyway, swapping back my Romero after successfully negotiating a 1% price profit (which still of course doesn't make up for the 5% I bought and now 3% for selling haha) but hey, someone's got to swell up b1's XMR pool...

Why I rated the exchange experience only two: it took... a whole hour between receiving bitcoin from the exchanger and sending trc20 tokens.

Why do TRC20 USDT fees sometimes hit $3 or $7? Let’s unpack the culprits:

Empty Wallets: Sending to a wallet new to USDT costs ~27.3 TRX ($6.83) vs. 13.5 TRX ($3.38) for non-empty ones.
Congestion: Busy networks raise energy costs, though TRON’s fees are steadier than Ethereum’s.
Energy Needs: TRC20 transfers burn 64,285-130,000 energy units without staking or rental.
Fees range from $0.40 to $7, with $1-$3 typical for non-empty wallets. A Reddit user’s $7 rant? Possible for an empty wallet during a spike. Jake, a trader, cut his $5 fee to $0.50 with energy rental. That’s our target.

The wallet was indeed new, and I understand the explanation for the high rate.
But, on a second attempt, it returned to having high rates.

I'm not saying b1eXch is to blame for the network fees, but I think these fees are too high. I thought they would be lower than on the ETH network (but it seems the same).


On the other hand, I wonder if b1eXch always uses a high network rate to ensure speed, even when the normal network rate is low.
But I'll talk about that in another topic.

It kind of is related to BTC being slow. As your BTC was transferred to b1exch, it was swapped through THORchain in the same block, but the USDT wasn’t sent to your address from THORchain until the BTC had gotten two confirmations. There was 59 minutes between block #937525 and #937527.
