Qado testnet is live. This is an alpha test network for bug reports and network testing.
NOT mainnet. Expect breaking changes and chain resets.

Status
- Phase: Alpha / Testnet
- Network: Public testnet
- Breaking changes: possible
- Chain reset: possible

Release
- Commit: 308f3f2
- Binary (Windows x64): Qado-win-x64.zip

- Download / Source: https://github.com/detnonzero/Qado

Quickstart (1 minute)
1) Download and unzip
2) Run: Qado.exe
3) Allow firewall prompt (TCP 34000)
4) Wait for sync (check height in GUI / log)

Ports
- P2P: TCP 34000 (inbound recommended, outbound works)

Seeds

Chain Specs (Testnet)
- Model: account-based L1 PoW blockchain
- Decimals: 9

- PoW: Argon2id
- Chain ID: 1000
- Network ID: 0x02 (2)
- Target format: 32-byte big-endian
- Merkle domain separation: enabled (leaf/node tags)
- Emission: halving every 1,000,000 blocks until 1.25 QADO, then tail 1 QADO after block 50,000,001

Mining
- CPU mining (Argon2id)
- Start/Stop mining in GUI
- Please report: hashrate stability, nonce progression, long block times, UI freezes, crashes

Genesis
- Timestamp (UTC): 2026-02-15 22:00:00
- Timestamp (unix): 1771192800
- Nonce: 0
- Target: 0000FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
- Hash: b65c073c969b1252145dd252c1aee32e50bf2a34c6371c7f9d4b5ab8a149ff4c

What I need from testers
- Sync tests (fresh install / restart / NAT)
- Mempool + transaction relay
- Reorg handling (if it happens)
- Time drift issues
- Bug reports with logs + steps to reproduce

Bug reports / Feedback
- GitHub issues: https://github.com/detnonzero/Qado/issues

Notes
- If connectivity breaks after IP change, restart the node.
- Testnet only: do not reuse keys for anything valuable.
