I’ve been pondering about this question for a while now, how can a newbie  that wants to go into Bitcoin accumulation really avoid Ponzi schemes. But some certain things I have come to understand is making my belief on bitcoin firm and not thinking of deviating to another investment for the main time, as we all know, curiosity will not let us newbies to stick to investing rather we’ll want to try other mean of getting little profit which 95% of the time end up to be scam, but the funny part of it is that, we barely learn due to fact that we are fuel with greed and not knowing when to stop because we  have lost some money to these site and will want to get back lost fund.

With the little knowledge I’ve accumulated from this forum of which I’m still learning, I’ve learnt to focus more on long term goals  with Bitcoin accumulation rather than deviating to those sheet coins that only pump just to get attention and later it’s been rugged and pulled.  Also how to manage my discretionary fund and how to allocate it into my Bitcoin investment via DCA method. At least, so far I have come to understand, that’s the most approachable method when it comes to Bitcoin accumulation and also ease you off the pressure of waiting for the Dip or stacking up funds for lump sum.

So far, this are the few ideas that have kept me going and I would also like those that are more advance than me here to drop their opinion on this thread so we newbies can all benefit

First advise to give in to introduce them to this forum, because this is a platform intended by the bitcoin creator to engaged all bitcoin users to discuss all around the world, from here, they will be guided the right way, advised and given useful links and kits to start up with as a newbie, provided that they are willing to learn, it is not proper that they get exposure to random online platforms and social medium where they might be misled, because there are lots of contradicting information about bitcoin online except for few platforms like github that renders more precise information about bitcoin.

A good way to avoid getting scammed in the crypto space is to be informed. If you want to learn more about bitcoin and how it differs from all the alt coins out there is to try to be as knowledgeable as you can. Ask valid questions from people that you know has the answers as well as doing some good research yourself online.
People also get scammed majorly due to greed. The possibility of putting your money into the "hottest new thing" cause it's seemingly fast growing and promises some crazy returns drives a lot of people. And without having a basic understanding of what they're getting into, they end up getting scammed.
Don't rush into new and alluring projects just yet. Know more about what you're putting your money into.

One major problem with most newbies probably those around their youth like 20s to late 30s, is that they have focused their attention too much on social media that they tend to believe that they are behind in life so they look for the quickest route to make money and that is why most people prioritize some things that will only end up screwing their finances. Indeed bitcoin investment is slow to profit returns irrespective of how volatile it is but it sure has been a good project since 2009. Phahaps what some of these persons need to a good seminar to teach them how to understand life better and to be able to determine how to make a good living.

If people know how to use the internet very well they are likely to not get scammed provided they take precautions. There are lots of videos on YouTube that explains and give details on the right platform to use, people just need to understand how to make research about something and most of their life stresses would be gone.

Those curiosity most time is a result of peer and societal pressure. We live in Nigeria where everyone wants to meetup the standards set and no one is ready to embrace the moments of waiting and growing their portfolio with the right investment which remains Bitcoin, even those who do tries to seek the shortest routes that will guarantee the quickest ROI. No road to success is ever easy, there must always be ups and downs but that is not what most people want to hear. Not just newbies alone but people who are desperate for a change or quick means to grow their portfolio.

We always have to develop a long-term investment mindset. If we are to move towards short-term investment, it will not be the right decision. We have to protect ourselves from the temptation that many people get greedy after investing and sell their holdings before the end of the period after seeing a small amount of profit., Gain basic knowledge about Bitcoin and find out the discretionary income and continue investing and start gaining knowledge along with it. Gain knowledge on long-term investment, if you start gaining knowledge on trading then you will never be able to maintain a long-term mindset.

From every investment method, more benefits are obtained by using the DCA method. It will be very good for you to continue buying consistently by adopting the DCA method with your discretionary income. If you are a regular on this forum and read everyone's comments, you will be able to gain a lot of knowledge about investment very quickly.

If a newbie plan to invest in Bitcoin, he should know that they are going to invest by buying of Bitcoin, how does it involve ponzi scheme? The internet is there to seek informations if the newbie can't find someone physically to ask. Newbies becomes too lazy to learn about Bitcoin, i agree with the quote that says, "Anyone who ask for road don't get lost", if there are questions, find the reasonable source and be wise when receiving those informations, especially informations that are supposed to be kept discrete.

Personally I think that the forum is the best platform to learn about Bitcoin, there might be other sources but Bitcointalk remains preferable to me. You cannot be actively involved in the forum and end up getting scammed. I have heard lots of stories about people that lost their bitcoin to fraudulent schemes. Another way to learn bitcoin the right way is by doing a lot of personal research. The problem with a lot of newbies that invest in bitcoin is that they lack patience, they just want to achieve financial stability within a short period of time.

Impact them with right knowledge of Bitcoin and don't sweetened the words that you are to tell them about Bitcoin investment. Tell them how it is that Bitcoin is a risky investment, and it requires a long term investment plan. If they are not ready for that, they shouldn't come near it, and all the responsibilities and the security cautious of their crypto wallet even the losses are on them not any one.

Firstly, newbies need to know that bitcoin investment isn't a get rich quick scheme but a long-term investment. That's, they should see bitcoin as a tool to keep their savings safe from inflation by buying bitcoin with the money they're saving in the bank that they wouldn't need for long. It's when you're after quick money and you don't want to be patient that's when you will be looking for ponzi scheme here and there.

Well I like to believe that this our Bitcoin Talk community answers it all but what most newbies do not understand is that learning takes a lot of time , and time is something not every one is willing to sacrifice. For me yeah indeed I can say I have never fell for any scams for just two major reasons first I easily doubt whatever I see online/too good to be true second I take my time to read and learn from any scam thread I can find in the forum as well as doing some quality research to be 100% sure.Though anyone can fall for a scam in this space both OGs in Bitcoin/ crypto and even newbies but I like to believe that knowledge is what determines everything, most especially as a newbie in this space If not you will have to gain experience before you gain knowledge, which is falling victim to a scam.....

Overall there are many shit coins out there which  are trying to convince newbies that they are better than Bitcoin but then many folks ends up falling for their Ponzi schemes. So yeah all you need to do is to continue learning / being consistent both in and outside the forum and always confirm if your research is accurate. remember , wealth isn't built in a day it's built within time. That's all for me ......

Exactly because they are more balance in this Bitcointalk forum than any other platforms. Of course people are actually going through a lot of scammed aside forum due to the fact that nobody have time to give information about the investment you are about going to, although sometimes we don't used to listen to advice due to trying to get rich overnight. Bitcoin investment is not a get rich quick scheme so newbies needs to plan themselves very well and avoid being quick something because these are the things that they need to put in consideration before venturing into Bitcoin investment.

I love the fact that you added provided they are willing to learn, because not everyone to me you invite to the forum, for them not to be a nuisance to the naija local board and the forum at large, by loitering everywhere with AI garbage post.
But honestly speaking, if a newbie wants to learn about Bitcoin without getting scammed, doing his or her own  research is the best, so that he wouldn't be ignorant on certain things, because ignorance is what mostly gets newbie investor scammed.

And finally, another thing that would be helpful is if he have an experience Bitcoin investor around, that would show him through all the necessary steps to navigate his or her way around.
