Buying Dip sounds good, but in reality, there are many risks associated with it. I see it as emotional gambling. Because it is not possible to find a perfect dip here. Because no one can accurately predict the price fluctuations of Bitcoin.
Na true talk u yarn put there sey nobody fit predict correctly wetin price fit give. Nonetheless, we dey still fit guess around where price fit likely get to through awa knowledge of wetin price do in d past. Na dat past we dey take wait for wetin e go do in future. No investor, even for any other business, go just fold im hands sey e nor know how to enta market. Head wey nor gree read books or learn, na load e dey finally carry.

Quote
I am very curious For those of you who buy Bitcoin at DIP, how do you define what price is the perfect dip?
For me, wetin I dey do be sey e dey get where I go dey eye or wish sey price fit com down to wen e dey spike. So, once price begin come down I go just watch d momentum of d candles as dem dey com down. If d momentum dey strong as e dey reach my target, I nor go buy there bc e go be sey price go drop more. But if momentum don begin dey weak, I go watch am around dat my level and buy in.

Buying Bitcoin at perfect dip is very difficult, but following the principles of bitcoin investing, it is advisable to buy the dip so that buy the time the bitcoin price rises, one would have enough gain. More also, apart from buying the dip, you can make profit from Bitcoin at any price you buy Bitcoin, but the idea is that , you have to invest for long term purpose.
Historically, bitcoin rewards long term investors and the secret of business investing is that , even when you buy Bitcoin at the highest price today, it is expected that by the next bull season, it is expected that the price of Bitcoin will surpass the previous all time high. Based on this, as an investor, you only need patience to gain profit from bitcoin.

You are overthinking this thing, there is nothing such as a perfect dip, as a matter of fact this is the first time i dey hear this phrase in this forum. Just as you cannot time the market when it is going up, you also cannot do it when it is going down. When people talk about buying the dip, they are basically just saying you should buy bitcoin because the price has dropped lower than what it was.

That said, buying in that way is not for short term folks. There is no need buying in the dip when you are not hodling for the long term, because, there is a high chance you sell at a loss.

Do you think the $60K dump that happened last time is our perfect dip? It won't be, that is how i know where i can market my own perfect dip, it can differ from anyone else. There is a range of dump even if you can't get it at the exact figure, the market also works with season, though sometimes changes happens that does not follow the same pattern, but there is always a dump moment that feels right.

We are currently in the dip, and if Bitcoin goes down to $60K, it is another dip, for each investor to buy based on their target.

If you may feel this dump as the price around $60k is a dip and perfect time as an investor to buy, then I can say you are right, if you say it is not the perfect time as well, I still say you are right, if you think I'm wrong or right, then I still say you are right. That is how the market work, to every investor, there is a favourable time for you to buy and another time for the next to buy, my dip can not be your best time to buy and yours can not be my best time to buy as well. Everytime is a perfect time to do so if you feel is right, then you are right.

Bitcoin investment is more of a psychological approach than reality to me because, before anyone can successfully invest in Bitcoin such a person should have come to the realization of the risk factors that is associated with Bitcoin so should have been mentally and psychological prepared to face any fluctuations that should arise because Bitcoin is a volatile asset.getting the right mentality is key to achieving success in our Bitcoin accumulation journey.

Bitcoin itself is like a gambling, so I don’t really think there is anything wrong with buying a dip, but where something is wrong is when you’re waiting to buy the dip, some people have been buying the dips, that is also a very good indicator that they find that strategy more attractive and probably it’s been working for them, so if they feel like buying the dip is the best opportunities for them that is also attainable, I don’t really see anything wrong with buying the dip, but when investing in bitcoin you have to buy consistently instead of waiting for the dip that you don’t know when it’s going to happen, and I have always felt that people who are more interested in waiting to buy the dip are people who are probably only interested in trading bitcoin when they have a chance of profits.

Why do we need to find the perfect dip to buy a dip? The current time cannot be called a dip? We have been in a dip for several months and buying this dip is not difficult for anyone and is not like gambling. Buying a dip is not wrong, but waiting for a dip can be wrong.

When you are in the initial journey of investing, DCA can be the best strategy for you to invest. Along with DCA, if you get an opportunity, you can be aggressive and take advantage of the dip during the dip. If you are waiting for the market to start investing, then you are just wasting time, but that is not gambling. Gambling is what is called luck. But a dip is not luck, but a cycle. Although there is no guarantee of when it will happen, it is almost certain to face a dip in every cycle

Buying Dip sounds good, but in reality, there are many risks associated with it. I see it as emotional gambling. Because it is not possible to find a perfect dip here. Because no one can accurately predict the price fluctuations of Bitcoin. That is why most people cannot define what the perfect dip is. When the price keeps falling, they think, "I'll buy it now." And when the price drops, they get scared. Then, after buying, they start regretting it when the price drops even more. This is a kind of trading mentality. If someone really wants to buy Bitcoin at a slightly lower price, then if it is 20% or 30%+ lower than the average price of its price in two years, then they can buy Bitcoin with some extra money. I always think that investing in Bitcoin according to the DCA method is more logical and suitable for everyone, especially those who have discretionary income. There is no need to make your investment emotional gambling.

I am very curious For those of you who buy Bitcoin at DIP, how do you define what price is the perfect dip?
I agree with you say waiting for dip before you buy be like emotional gambling because you no know when di dip go happen or if e go happen when you want, if e finally happen weda di money go still de intact to buy at dat point. If you reason wetin de involved for waiting to buy dip wey you no fit know when e go happen you go understand say e de better to buy when you hold your money for hand. Dat na why DCA strategy na di undisputed oga for Bitcoin investment matter, as money de enter to buy you go just de accumulate am because you know say no matter how price plunge e go recover and you go make profit.

No be say buying dip de bad because as price de slump like dis na buy opportunity e be for every smart investors, as e de dip you de take advantage to de buy but where issue de be say e no de necessary to carry for mind say na dis price you must wait to buy for inside dip. Example be say you de wait till Bitcoin crash to $50k before you buy, you no know when e go happen or weda e go happen so na emotional gambling e be as OP talk am.

Waiting for a drop can put off buying Bitcoin for a long time. In such a situation, a moderate or stable buying plan (such as regular DCA) can be proven effective in the long run, as it helps to cope with short-term price fluctuations and reduces stress. Over-preparing for a potential drop is a risky attitude, especially for those who are already following a long-term DCA. As a result, it is possible to both continue investing and preparing in Bitcoin, but excessive waiting and excessive focus on a major drop can pose risks to both long-term savings and emotional stability. A more reasonable strategy is to continue buying regularly, prepare for limited market fluctuations, and also consider the possibility of price fluctuations.

Waiting  for the price of Bitcoin to drop, many people cannot start investing in Bitcoin. And those who follow the dca  ,invest should always keep their goal fixed. And if the price suddenly drops, then they can do some aggressive dca if they want. But that should never be done from the required money outside of discretionary income.

It is impossible to find the perfect DIP. Logically speaking investors are not satisfied with the buying price most of the time. In many cases when you decide to buy Bitcoin during dips there is no way to predict whether it is a real dip or not because the price may decrease after you buy.
The right method for investing is DCA, through which you can continue to buy Bitcoin regardless of the price and get the expected return by doing this method in the long term.

As humans, we easily get emotionally attached when it comes to money, it is the same for all of us, we just have different kind of feelings towards it and that makes us has different emotions and behavioral traits towards it. The DCA method is meant to keep you not bothered about the price of bitcoin or the fluctuations in the price overtime. The market was designed to operate in that manner and as long as you know that the market will still come back to grow again, you shouldn’t worry but take advantage of every dip to buy more. The Bitcoin market is very much sensitive and volatile, so investing for the long term and getting emotionally detached from the market is the best to have a flawless and non-worrisome experience in your investment.

According to the OP question, there's nothing like a perfect dip, therefore there's no need to wait but buy consistently with the DCA so as not to be bothered about the price fluctuation and just focus on accumulating Bitcoin till your portfolio is very big enough.

I wonder how those who always follow the market cope with it cause i believe that constant monitoring of the market could make an investor emotional or force them to sell especially the beginners, which is why long-term investors should focus more on the DCA so they don't deviate from holding and accumulating more Bitcoin consistently.

Since Bitcoin is not predictable, Dip Buying is an opportunity, it is wise to use it. However, anything uncontrolled is not a good thing, be it in the case of dip buying or in the case of trading. I partially agree with the example of 20% - 30% with the average price of two years that you gave. However, this idea is good but it is not 100% correct. Because Bitcoin is market cycle-based, the average price is not always reliable. At the end of most bull runs, the average price becomes very high. Then in a bear market, the price can drop by 60% -70%, so then a 30% dip is not really a real bottom. Therefore, every opportunity for Dip Buying should be used with regular DCA and extra funds if you have the ability.

Their is nothing buying bitcoin during the dip, and it only takes good understanding to overcome the dip and to take good advantage over the dip. If you dont have understanding of what bitcoin is all about, the dip will always be a problem and I dont advice anyone to go into Bitcoin not having a good understanding because the dip will always be a challenge and the only solution to those who dont understand is to sell.
During the their are two things that are important that needs to be done, it is either to keep hodling or even to buy more Bitcoin, selling during the dip especially for those who have the intention to hodl, selling is not the ideal thing to do.

I thought the goal is long term investment so why are we bothered about the price each dip make. Regardless of when you buy as far has it's in the bear season massive profit is guaranteed when the bull season resumes again. Except for short term investors who wants to glue their eye to their screen at every slightest opportunity to see where they can buy. As for long term investors there is nothing to worry as far as it's the dip. If they feel uncertain then the best move is to apply DCA and save themselves the stress of paying much attention to the noise everywhere regarding the dip

Some investor especially new investors do not have this knowledge sometimes I think they are not to blamed much because of their decisions reason being that they do not have a good knowledge of how to navigate through during the dips, the feel that at the dip they only decision they can take to help themselves is to sell but they do not ask themselves of what benefit it will be to them to sell at loss, the dip is profitable to those that understands how it works I think you said a similar thing, my advise for any newbie is that, before they take any action, they should have look at the options availbale to know if they are really taking the best decision, the thing is, selling at loss will be e be a good decision, newbie should learn how to overcome panics, I think thats even that is one the contributing factors that leads them to sole regrettable decisions.

We can't define the dip because it can become a crash and cause liquidation, but as you have said, following a DCA strategy would help ignore this emotional play of the dip when one is considering investment during the dip with a care for the price at the moment.

If you are buying the dip, you are a simply assuming that the price would rise again to its average point and there would be an ego boost, because you are not panicking as others are doing.

To be honest, no one has a good explanation for determining the perfect dip in Bitcoin price because to my knowledge, even many analysts cannot accurately predict the market sentiment and movement, so what you mentioned is correct that the mindset of buying dips is like an emotional gambling. For example, the market has crashed by about 50% from its all-time high, but even then, no one can call it a perfect dip because the price of this digital gold can fall significantly more. However, the main point now is that no matter how much BTC's price increases or decreases on the daily chart, we should continue the DCA process through our own local (₦)currency, especially in the case of long-term financial investments like BTC.
