Is Dark Mode a "must-have" for you?

Personally, I often use dark mode in other apps or platform as well, not just in casinos. But if they don't have this feature, it's also not a problem with me... It really depends on individual's preferences, so some players may like using dark mode while some doesn't care nor doesn't like dark mode. But I'd suggest to have this option. Users may opt to use dark mode or just stick with the default mode, but having an option to choose from is better than nothing, I guess. It's not really a big contribution to your casino UX feature, but I think it'll adds up to the likings of some users when they have this extra feature.

Default colour is cool but not everyone uses it frequently. Sometimes people use it based on their environment for instance if I am outside with my phone on, the lightened environment requires me to switch to dark mode so I can conveniently have a good view of my screen while sometimes even in the dark you switch to default but if you don't want too much light reflection, to switch to dark mode.
I also think switching screen mode sometimes depends on the individual eyesight for the moment as not every one is cool with sharp light reflection while some too need's a brighter light reflection so they could see properly.

I think the sharp light reflection is preferred by those whose eyes are still able to view anything on the screen whether tiny or bold because usually when you are under the sun with sharp light, it reduces your sight efficacy. But it is better to set the phone on automatic brightness so that it can adjust itself even when you are under the sun and that will also help your view on the app irrespective of the mode. However, I prefer the dark mode because it makes you have more cool view at the screen with less pressure on the eyes.

If I say it myself, I always use dark mode and always keep dark mode on my mobile. But when I enter a casino, the first thing I notice is whether there is dark mode or not. If there is dark mode, then I will definitely turn it on. If there is no dark mode, then I will not worry about it much and dark mode will not have any effect on my game. What I always notice is how this casino will provide me with an advantage and whether my winnings in this casino are more or less than the winnings. If these things are correct, then I will never worry about dark mode.

We just added a Night / Day mode switch (Light vs. Dark), but I’m honestly not sure if people actually use it or if it’s just one of those things that looks cool but gets ignored.

Well, I use dark mode alot when they are offered, infact, even the device I am using right now to post this comment is set on dark mode by myself, I honest like both my device and the sites I visit to be in dark mode, and the reason is because it feels much more comfortable on the eyes than the normal bright mode.

And another good reason as well is that I believe that dark mode helps save energy on mobile and laptop devices better than the normal bright or white mode.
So, if you are building a casino and sure have the option of including a switcn for white or dark mode, please include the button, even though or if the button does not mean any thing to some users, I can tell for certain that a lot of more gamblers like myself will really appreciate such a feature.

I will prefer the dark mode over the default that can generate heavy light rays into our eyes when not protected.
Many of the casinos I have been using do have the dark mode operational and this is cool because it does help my sight due to the low energy rays emanating from my screen. Gamblers that often get exposed to high rays lights from their devices have high chances of complaining about their sight and that can lead to using medicated lenses doing old age.

Yes, I think it makes more sense when you're using it in other apps. But just like as you mentioned, that's the real truth about it, because it becomes quite difficult to see during bright sunshine. But I don't think it's worth worrying about since we have already know that dark mode isn't meant for open, bright places.

So we should be ready to stay somewhere that's suitable for viewing. Even though you don't have to be indoors all the time, it's still my favorite mode.

The more important feature is when all text are readily and performance very good. What I think should be important is when a user uses a theme more often, the system should make it default for that user. Dark theme is more better at night. And light theme for day time.

Dark mode is necessary for us to consider especially when we don't want to have or developing complicated eyes related issues, we don't have to watch things up on the way they are, instead we can choose to adjust some settings to the best of our desirability from using any device for gambling, there is no essence in doing something that will later affect us without being able to apply some readjustment to suit our taste.

To keep your eyes healthy, you should not stare at the screen constantly. If you look away from the screen at a certain distance for a certain period of time the strain on your eyes will be reduced. Dark mode relaxes our eyes. But if you stare at the screen continuously, dark mode also puts strain on our eyes. So, even if we turn on dark mode, we should keep it at a minimum distance. And casinos should first research and use eye-friendly lights. Only then will the damage to the eyes of the players be reduced.

That's very good advice. I only have a few things in dark mode. I don't think dark mode is bad; what's bad is when any mode is in a different mode but without any surrounding light. Any mode is good, but with plenty of light so it doesn't affect our eyes. That's what I've learned, and to take care of our vision. For example, it's not good to read after eating; resting for an hour is good, so you don't get eye strain or things like that.

I see this "feature" on all kinds of websites now and don't know what the big deal about it is. Maybe there is some disability angle that is fair, like some people get color blindness, but I've never actually understood the need for it. I actually prefer if a website holds a consistent theme, because it makes it less likely that you'll miss a key detail when you visit scam sites that try to replicate the look of casinos. The more options there are, the less sure you're going to be when visiting a site without having to second guess it all the time. That being said, the default tends to be light mode and that's what I leave it on, never felt the need to make things harder to read by switching to night mode.

Light mode sometimes abuses of white light on screens and can temporarily make our sight to feel tired and overwhelmed, specially at night. That is why it is recommended for people to switch to deal mode at night

I do find my eyes feeling overwhelmed with the brightness at night. But, I merely lower the brightness of device in use, and that works.

Also, if you have a Oled screen (either on your phone or desktop) using dark mode can actually help to save energy/battery.

Now, that's real use of dark mode. In my earlier response, I did say, I don't care for dark mode but I completely forgot about this actual use.

Not all are alike with the dark mode and many don't like it. I like the brighter version as well, but if there will be some dark theme or mode, I would like to try it for some time. But it won't be the default of my settings. So, most of them are simply considerate to the variety of the likes of their gamblers and that's a good thought and feature if ever they're all going to have it despite that some won't like it and likely to ignore it.

Also, one using dark mode does not necessarily need to be related to one's gambling activities, I have been also using some tricks to be able to use dark mode here on Bitcointalk, so I can browse the forum with black background color and white letters.

Though, battery should not be a problem if one has a device which has at least 5000 mAh of capacity, which it is usually the norm nowadays for both flagship and mid-range phones.

Thanks to today battery standards, I have been able to use my phone and still having up to 45% of my battery left at the end of the day.

Yes, everything would really be basing up on someones preference because we do have different taste when it comes to this manner on which there are those who do want that light themed and there are ones who do love the dark, It would be depending into someones eyes and thats why some platforms does have some toggle in between because each gamblers will really be having their own choices and having that feature even if its simply then it would be something that might hooked up a player and specially if its  a heavy spendor then for sure that would really be that giving out that advantage. We do know that UI/UX is really that important on running up this business specially once a player finds out that they are comfortable into the site or platform that they are dealing with then they would be sticking into it.

It's not like all gamblers will like the same features. Some like bright and some like dark so I think every gambler can decide according to their own preference or freedom. Personally I feel comfortable gambling with dark mode as it allows me to understand everything better and I don't have any problem looking at the screen for long periods of time.

Absolutely right, every gambler knows what its good for them or not, as some may prefer dark mode due to one reason or the other, which might be for the sake of their eyes while some just enjoy using dark more for no reason, same goes with those who use dark mood. Everyone can't like or dislike same thing but its important for one to go with the option that has more advantages for the sake of their health.
