I never really thought that there were people who do not care about dark mode. I had always believed that everyone loves dark mode, at least those I have seen around me prefer not to have bright lights on their screens. From this thread, I can see that some people actually prefer it bright.

If any platform I use adds dark mode to its settings, I am going to thank them for being considerate. That is a very good feature that I am going to jump on.

I also love dark mode because it's easy on my eyes. And often, when my friend is sleeping next to me, I'll turn the backlight down and read something or play slots in dark mode. Even with the backlight turned down, white themes feel like blinding flashlights at night. And of course, it's a must-have. I've also heard that white mode can cause screen burn-in on monitors, but I don't know how true this is for smartphones.
When I was a programmer, we were always told to have three modes in apps and websites: light, dark, and time-based or system theme-based.
