Is Dark Mode a "must-have" for you?

I’m currently tweaking the UI over at WagerX.io and I’m torn on a feature.

We just added a Night / Day mode switch (Light vs. Dark), but I’m honestly not sure if people actually use it or if it’s just one of those things that looks cool but gets ignored.


Do you actually use Dark Mode when it’s offered, or do you just stick to the default?

Dark mode is really good for the eyes. Most of the casinos I’m using are in dark mode, usually green and black, and it feels more relaxing to look at, especially when you’re playing for a long time. Some sites use other colors, but black is almost always there. So if most casinos are using it, I guess it means gamblers really prefer that style. Less strain, less distraction, more focus on the game.

Yes! Dark mode is my thing, or Night mode in different gambling sites.

This is a thing that I usually look for whenever I play in one gambling site. I like the UI dark or black so that I can see the letters better. What I don't like is too much color on UI, and I have seen that also in some gambling sites. It's too much for me. It's actually an eyesore.
So yes, add the dark mode feature, and I bet many gamblers will also like it.

I don't know but when I do played, I don't tweak any on the color in the UI. So no dark mode for me, I'm fine with the Day mode.

Maybe I just feel comfortable when everything is in the light colors. Maybe it was because I was used to the bright colors in land base casinos that I used to frequent before my love to crypto base casinos.

Dark mode is a must-have, my friend.
I have blurry visions, dark mode so far is the best option for me as it prevents rays of light from directly entering my eyes.
All my gadgets are set to dark mode, including my browser settings. From a user's point of view, provide both light mode and dark mode, and let the users choose.

It depends, when I'm in my computer I honestly prefer playing with a light UI/Default since it's way more clean to look at but if I'm in my tablet or phone and I'm browsing on my bed, I would choose the darker theme since its the screen is closer in my face and it hurts my eyes if it's too light. However it doesn't really matter to me if they don't have dark mode since it's not a big deal personally. Anyway I just checked your website and browse it with the default and the dark theme, honestly both looks great, the dark theme compliments the color and it doesn't hurt my eye.

You could move this to service discussion section except you are asking specifically for the opinion of gamblers.

I visit all the casinos I do in dark mode, I do this for every website and app that has the option available. I would have it on the forum, but I am not a fan of extensions and user scripts. In my experience it is also a general idea that most people prefer dark mode.

Someone has also told me this before, also the person like light modes on his devices, including the exchanges that he is visiting. I am the opposite of that. I prefer dark mode on my device, on exchanges and on gambling sites.

How are you going to cope with it when most gambling sites now are in dark mode? Although not fully dark but not bright at all but almost dark.

Dark mode is really a useful feature — it reduces the strain on your eyes. You can especially notice it after working on a computer for more than an hour with a bright screen, and then switching a website to dark mode and feeling how your eyes relax after the change. So you should definitely implement this feature — players will appreciate it. It would be great if the developers of Bitcointalk understood this as well and added such a mode to the forum.

I can’t behold bright light for too long, it hurts my eyes, especially at night (I believe there are others like that too) so if I’m visiting any site or app at night (not just the casinos) and that app doesn’t have a dark mode feature, I’ll either reduce my screen’s brightness (if what I’m doing is important, or just exit the app or site completely.

So yeah, dark mode feature is something every site should have, whether or not people use it, it should mandatory for every site.

Do you actually use Dark Mode when it’s offered, or do you just stick to the default?

I'm a dark mode lover, that is the first thing I check out in a site, if it doesn't have dark mode, I don't feel too comfortable using it. Logging into a site that is in dark mode by default is a turn on for me. It appeals more to my eyes. The brightness level of my computer is always reduced when I am on interfaces that don't have dark mode feature.

It is also an accessibility feature to include a dark theme in your site. it gives users that prefer dark themes over light ones a sense of recognition and inclusion.

As someone who has astigmatism, no, I don't prefer dark-mode, it makes it even more difficult for me to see the small texts, they become more blurry and fuzzy.
I would prefer to just reduce my monitor's brightness rather than use Dark Mode. 
Other people, however, may prefer to use the dark mode theme on various websites.

The majority of casinos I've played and am playing are in dark mode, or offer an option to switch to dark mode; they intentionally offer this to reduce eye strain and keep you relaxed so you can continue playing.

When playing in casinos, you use a lot of your eyes and attention, so you have to be relaxed to maximize your concentration. When you are fully focused, you tend to increase your bankroll and extend your playing time, which benefits the casino.

I actually don't care about the dark mode option. Goes to casino , make some deposit, win or loses , cashed out ✅.

That's all I do for using a casino. But if you can implement the features than do it. In this competitive market to attract more customers you should consider every types of customer needs. Cause some may don't like day mode and comfortable with using dark mode.

Main thing is the more flexible you casino would be for a user , more customers you can grab.

I might not be loyal to any casino that dont have such an option. I am sure many people are also in the same category as me. Dark mode also reduces fatigue and makes one play games longer period. It is good to have multiple options for users because we all have different choices.

For me personally, it doesn’t matter at all what color the interface is. But I have a friend who only uses dark interfaces,it’s much more comfortable for him and he likes them better. So I think such an addition would be welcomed by users. By the way, at night it’s actually very convenient when the screen is dark, so it doesn’t shine brightly into your eyes.

This can be achieved by adjusting the brightness of the screen based on medical recommendation as a tangible move towards ensuring good long term vision health. This characteristic goes a long way in letting us escape the unnecessary stress that we experience when communicating with technology driven gadgets over a long duration. We must select the platform that is really concerned about the physical comfort of its users as evidenced by the functionalities it offers. Through the options offered, we are able to participate better in our activities, without fear of the adverse effects of the exposure of light to our eyes.

I prefer to have this feature than not having it. You cant predict when this feature really be necessary, but moments when it is needed are always spontaneous. Nevertheless, I think spend little on coding to have it will be worth.

As a person who spends whole day in front of display, at home I prefer calm lightening, prefer to dim surrounding, and avoid bright white color on any device. I can not tell that dark mode/light mode plays a major role in casino that I am using, as its design is already is in dark colors.

If I need to use a site for gambling (likewise sportgambling) this could be one of the last factor that I would have a look at.
Just think basically... would you care about a nice GUI or about a better odd? or maybe a juice bonus?

I always see people using dark mode in various apps, and I think it's something you should implement on your website, no doubt

However, I personally don't like dark mode and can't get used to it anywhere
I always prefer a light background with black or gray text rather than the opposite; I find it much easier to read that way
