For Parlays, do you prefer fewer games with higher odds?

To some gamblers, parlay bets are the best since it allows them to combine more games into a bet slip which has more odds output and they can stake low and have a higher payout. 

I have this question on the pattern which gamblers in this community approach parlay bets and why they go for those choices, maybe someone's view would inspire you and you change your own pattern

I do not judge the game with odds. Let's say if both team has 2.00 odds which one you're gonna choose. Or a slightly high and lowers odds . Consider the team by their strength.

So I choose suitable team + Fewer number of selection.

If you can convert your winning by 5 times it's more than enough for me ig. Sometimes I choose more number of selection to increase the odds. In 5 bets taking 1 risk don't effect me.

That's why I always choose 1 risky bet if it's paid off I'm rewarded. Not paid off no problem.

I am not a parlay fan after several losses from parlay bets. However, if I decide to bet on parlay, I will prefer going with number 4. Fewer games with lower odds. This is because the more game you add to your parlay, the more your chances of winning your bet reduces. If I want to bet on high odd, I prefer it on a single bet.

This one is my favorite when it comes to play parlay bets, there is no specific reason why I choose this one but I like to with this strategy although the chance is low to win but having fewer selections is more reasonable for me.
The winning chance is low because usually I have to select the underdog teams as the selection which give higher odds but nothing is impossible although the possibility is tiny LOL.
One and a half hour ago, I placed a bet on UCL matches and I made a parlay bets as what I have just said where I choose the underdog teams:


As you can see, I made a parlay bet with 4 selections and the odds is 212x LOL.
Of course I just placed it for fun as I got the money from a random rain in chat, since I'm not in my mood to play casino games so I use the freebies to place a parlay bet.

I don't usually place bet in parlay but when I do, it's when I my bankroll is low and I'm trying for a decent win, so it's a do or die and when I do, I prefer the "Games with lower odds and more number of selections" since lower odds have higher chance of winning and combining it with a number of bets would result to a decent odds and decent payout. I know that it doesn't usually work that's why I only do it when my balance is low. Aside from this, what I really like to do is the combo bet, where in you can do a parlay on one game, for instance, in football, 1x2 + total corners + number of scores.

I only tend to do parlays for two reasons: there is some kind of special promotion on which gives you a free bet to play with and I usually spend it on a fairly low odds / more guaranteed return. Alternatively if I feel like a bit more excitement you just have to delve into horse racing odds to find some high multiples that are sometimes horses that have a fairly good track record, it takes very little to get into the hundreds or thousands odds with just a few selections.

Great, finally seen someone in my category, I do not personally like very long coupons, I like it short and hefty .
Selecting fewer games with some sort of possible combinations that inflates the odds. I love taking risks personally but those that has a higher reward if I'm lucky like this one

The thing with this selection is that, only gamblers with large amount of money gamble like this more, they use big money to stake on a few games with high odds so they are able to win well.

there is a bigger risk here compared to the first one, you rarely find people using a very big amount of money to gamble this way, it is mostly people who stake small amount and are trying to win big.

Lesser risk compared to more selections with higher odds, but still has its own sufficient risk. Gamblers with less income gamble this way.

I think these gamblers are the content type, they are not very greedy and are okay with winning any amount as far as it is a win.

I personally like a few games that I think will play out, and then bet an amount that is moderate.

I mostly mix them, and according to my knowledge, too. If I know a team has a higher chance to win, then I might just take the negative spreads to increase the multiplier a bit. But if I know a team always wins in a just a low deficit game, I will just take the moneyline.

What I am avoiding is just the input of pure high chances of winners and taking the moneyline only. With odds at x1.10 to x1.30. Even if you parlay 3 games of that, you might just receive x2.00 to x2.50. So, it's better to just pick one team and get a spread than risk with 3 way line.

I will go with fewer number and lesser odds so that the risk could be very lower.
Usually, gambling with high odds of games stands you in a lesser chance to win it because it higher.
However, of you go with high bet and lesser odds it would help you the more but that doesn't guaranteed that you would win the bet.
When gambling it would be that advisable to gamble with an amount you would be able to risk then gambling with higher odds and where winning could be that hard for you.

I'm a big fan of multiple bets, usually I aim for odds of 100+, but for example, if there aren't enough interesting outcomes for me on a given weekend, then I can bet on odds of x10 or so and if I win, I bet the entire amount won again (the following weekend) until I get x100+. Obviously, the fewer outcomes, the better (the bookmaker's margin is smaller), but it is very difficult to assemble a "reliable" multiple bet from 2+ outcomes, so I mainly choose outcomes with odds of 1.5-1.8 and sometimes even add something like 1.1 for a boost.

The games with lower odds combined with fewer numbers of legs ^{(2 - 3)} is always preferable to me. I know the more legs, the bigger odds. But we must not be so dumb and greedy to put so many legs, which only decreasing our chance to win.
If we're serious in doing parlay, we should put the chance to win at the top of it.

yet if you're a true degenerate that doesn't care when you're losing. You can go as many legs as you can since you can afford to lose it. Obviously it won't profitable for long term until you will hit your 3 digts - 4 digits odds, which is very rarely to happen.

Higher odds and more games > Higher odds and Less games > Lower odds and more games > Lower odds and less game

This is the order of the risk factors, so ideally picking the lower odds and less games is good for you but with that combination your potential winning amount also will become less, so now you decide, you want to win the parlay or you want to win it with big rewards?

Then choose the one accordingly and it comes with risks too.

I still prefer to bet a high amount on a low odds and single games, because with that I can be near sure of winning, especially when I have already selected teams that I know have a long history of winning, playing against a much smaller team, so I can be sure of winning the bet even if not 100% sure to win outrightly.

Sport betting is riskier when you have a combination of games in one bet slip, or selecting your bets based on High odds.

What we have to know is that, the higher the odds, the higher your risk of losing, what that means is that whatever increases your odds, increases your losing chances.

I like all kinds of parlays.  They make gambling more fun in my opinion and also more profitable.  I usually don't actually try to win them and instead look for massive gains if something crazy happened, so I tend to include a lot of games.  That is mostly for fun though.  When I am actually trying to win a bet, I will obviously go for a higher odds bet.

I have had my share of experience with this odds and most of them are not in favour of gamblers. If you are a lover of football sport, don't do high odds, the likely outcome is very low. You will hardly win, and if you do, the chance of getting it again is very low. Why go for odd that you can't win, that means you will be wasting money all the time and the only time you win, you may not be able to recover all the money you have made.

I like odds that are not too low and are not too large. That should be your concern. Although, there are times you see casino gives more odds when you bet football but once they notice everyone is winning, bookmarkers lower the odd on chance that are easy. So instead, they give more odd on chances that are hard and that's exactly the chance you will never win. Never go for odd that are high, that's just my opinion.

There is no certainty or a particular pattern that is best but however, let’s consider it this way, lower odds and high possibility of good outcome than using a particular pattern or number of games. If you follow by number of games you will probably not have any good results because some games might end up having good outcomes and then because you have a certain number you can end up adding one game that will ruin the parley.

Parley is the way to win big and I like going with fewer games but high probability.  A selection of maximum 6 matches is OK for me and combine target odd of 10 is what I aim. I have won this a couple of times but it is not without risk. I hardly bet on the underdog as it appears to me like wasting of money, although there are sometimes i could consider doing that but with very small amount of money after I have bet on my favorite games.

What number of selections do you consider okay to include in your bet slip since we know very well that the risks increase with the number of games?

If you think that adding more games to the ones you have selected to have bigger odds which in return can give you high winning potential, you need to also check that the higher the numbers of the games you must have selected, the higher your chances of losing the bet. You don't have to think that you can have the same chances and luck when you select plenty games to when you select few games and stake it with moderate amounts depending on what you can afford to lose so you don't expect too much from your bets.

It depends on the game selection. Sometimes I go for higher odds if I'm convinced the team can deliver, and there are times when I also go for low odds since odds don't determine game-winning. What I just try to moderate is the number of games which I include on a particular ticket, as the higher the number, the higher the chance of losing that slip.
