Yes, we know that Bitcoin has been running for 16 years, Bitcoin's growth has only reached $126k, how do they predict and speculate that the price of Bitcoin could reach $500k - $1 million in the near future, say 2030.

The word only is massively downplaying bitcoin's gain so far. It went from cents to $126k in just 2 decades, that's not something a normal asset could achieve in such short time.
When you see how much bitcoin is capable of growth, then you realize other people's speculation of bitcoin reaching $500k in 2030 is not something impossible.

I have my notes that I take, and I also read this speculation it helps at times.
The current speculation about the next ATH looks really exaggerating but so was the speculation about the progress of Bitcoin when it first came out, and look where we are today.
Secondly the fact that big cooperations like MSTR, metaplanet and others are accumulating a lot of Bitcoin lately Is make the seem possible.
It's not a possibility is even up to 90% for me, but it's surely possible and I suggest you keep that in mind.

Speculation is free and we are all entitled to our own predictions, I remember last year where speculations with a lot of analysis were very high that we will see ATH between $150k and $200k, bull run is over and it didn't happen. I don't mind to see $500k to $1,000,000 ATH between now and 2030 it will make me to be rich to a certain level but I don't need to have high hopes because I think that bar is too high. I'm saying this based on how expectant people were when experienced analysts where very bullish immediately after the last ATH, it taught me not to take speculations too seriously. What I can take home is that hopefully one day Bitcoin price will hit $1m, for now I don't want to bother myself about the time, my focus is to buy, hodl and wait patiently.

different people are making their speculation using whatever data they are working with and clearly, we can easily tell which of the speculation looks like one that will come out well while others from a face look shows that they are just an emotional speculation. saying that bitcoin will get to $1M in the future is something that at this point seams a bit unrealistic even though we can not tell what the future holds but then, we just have to follow the part that bitcoin is going and see it at least break the last ATH and probably get to $300k upwards and we can then see if it will get to that value. again, it is not just about how fast bitcoin can get to a certain value.

 there is still a consideration of how vast bitcoin adoption is going which is a major factor that will contribute in bitcoin continuous relevance. bitcoin continuous relevance is equally as important as what we are speculating that bitcoin will get to because if bitcoin just goes up and more nations and institution are not adopting it, it might seams as though the price of bitcoin is being manipulated.

People overstate things, probably if the price will ever surpass the recent ATH do you think $500k is the right prediction? I doubt or if such is possible I will love to wait and see before believing such. Definitely speculations should not be taken serious 100% else you might get disappointed. There’s no specific speculation currently besides if I can remember many speculated a bull market 2026 and now the price is experiencing a dip, this shows how unpredictable the market can be sometimes although during the long run there’s a probability the market will hit another ATH.

My speculation for a new bitcoin ATH in the upcoming halving is $250k but it won't be the fifth ATH. Considering how the price of bitcoin has experienced real growth in past halving events, especially from 2016 to 2024 i don't think that there is any factor that will make it not to experience same growth in the year 2028.

I don't believe in bitcoin speculation from many sources because at the end of the day, it's all speculation, nobody is sure of it so i rather make speculation based on the current happenings, backed by the previous outcome and come up with a likely realistic speculation for the future.

Although I'm a huge Bitcoin enthusiast, I don't like these exaggerations. I don't expect the price of Bitcoin to reach at least $500K in two or three cycles that's far from reality.

I expect the next cycle to see it rise to around $150-200K, and in subsequent cycles it might be between $300-500K. I expect these figures to be closer to reality than these exaggerated predictions. Many analysts have predicted fantastical numbers, and they all failed.

All these increase predictions given to Bitcoin by different people that Bitcoin will reach $500k - $1 million in a given time like 2030, all came to light because of the way Bitcoin increases over a long period of time.

If it had been, Bitcoin doesn't increase a whole lot in the years to come, believe me, most people won't be speculating about it to have an increased price in the future. It would have been, just a few people speculating on the Bitcoin price. But since we have seen and confirmed that Bitcoin has the tendency to increase in long term, the majority of investors will be speculating on the price they feel Bitcoin will reach at a certain time, which may not be true because nobody can predict the correct price Bitcoin will reach in a certain year or time.

Of course, I can't believe most of that nonsense. Saying Bitcoin will hit $1m or $5m in just a year or so is ridiculous. However, I believe Bitcoin will be higher than the current ATH ($126k+) in a few years, and realistically, it could hit around $170K-$200K in 4 years.

I think it is not healthy to speculate on the price of Bitcoin as it is basically setting yourself up, emotionally, for failure. And this could very well make you nervous about your own prediction.

Trading and psychology does not go well together. Especially for those Bitcoiners who are not as experienced or have as much trust in Bitcoin due to not fully understanding how it works or why the value will keep growing.

That is the difference between trader and just newbie risk taker. Because a trader would know how to trade and what to do, a proper technical analysis is way to go and that is the best way to make money, most people do not realize the value of it but that is how you improve and do better.

We should be considering this change very important because it will definitely make a big leap without a doubt. Whereas, some newbie would just see something on twitter and think that is enough because a lot of people hype it and they would buy that. The gap between those two reasons is the main reason why one of them makes a lot of money while the other one keeps making losses and wonders what is going wrong and why all of that hype doesn't turn into profit.

Every cycle, the multiplier of Bitcoin's increase is getting lower. So if we've reached $126k last year, I think by the next bull run. It won't reach a 2x.

But can possibly reach around $190k to $200k as its next ATH.

It's okay to believe if you feel them and liked it. But it's also fine to not believe on them if you think that they've got so high predictions.

Going to an ATH does not mean that Bitcoin will only continue to be bullish. We saw in the past few months that when Bitcoin touched a new ATH, it pulled back again and there was no significant difference in price when it made a new ATH, meaning that it did not move much further by touching the ATH frequently. It is not the case that Bitcoin getting another ATH means that its price will increase manifold. Everyone has expectations, but they should be at a reasonable level. I can definitely say that the market is not going to rush to $500k when it gets the next ATH. Those who are making such unrealistic predictions should definitely consider it at a reasonable level.
