Which free Bitcoin wallet is best recommendable for someone who can't afford hardware wallet? Between Electrum and Unstoppable wallet, I choose these two because they are the best open source wallet that I can find, free on mobile to be precise, not PC.

All non custodial wallets are free to use. Unstoppable does have some premium features but you could still use the wallet.
Between the two you mentioned, I'd go with unstoppable if you're interested in holding altcoins or have an iPhone otherwise Electrum should be fine for just bitcoin.

The two wallets that you mentioned above are good wallets. The difference is that Electrum is only for storing bitcoin while unstoppable is a multicoins wallet.
I am a fan of Electrum wallet since that's the wallet I use often. However, when it comes to multicoins wallet, I am using cake wallet for my altcoins.

I have been using the Xverse wallet for the last two years. At first it was great, but lately it's pretty slow to work with. Balance loading is very slow when you open it, especially with the Android app. I was thinking about transferring everything to Electrum. I know that Windows Electrum app is good. Did anyone tried using Electrum Android app? I need a good wallet software that's working on Windows and Android.

Open source or close source Custodial or non custodial Change address or not Coin control or not Further features for privacy or not Devices you use (computer, laptop, phone) OS of your devices. Many things for consideration of your best Bitcoin wallet and your choice is different than the others' choices. People are different from their resources, finance, technical to their favorite habit and practice, hence there is no same best Bitcoin wallet for everyone. Vote or without a poll, you can know it very easily as human basically are never the same from thinking to practice. Best Bitcoin wallets.Recommended Bitcoin wallets.

I have both wallets and I like both. OmegaStarScream has posted the important thing about both. You do not need to use Unstoppable wallet premium. For bitcoin, I prefer Electrum. This link may help you choose a wallet, you can try it out by answering some questions on the site which will be used to help you determine the best wallet for you: https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet

The two Wallet you mentioned are very good to use and I don’t see the reason to find another wallet anymore. I usually don’t stress myself because if I see a good wallet I’m using I usually use it without searching for any other wallet as long as the wallet I’m using is not giving me any issue or problems. The only difference between the two wallet you mentioned is that one accepts only bitcoin which means you can’t store another coin inside it but the other accepts multiple coins. Unstoppable wallet accepts multiple coins why Electrum do not. I use trust wallet since I started cryptocurrency investment and trading.

Of all, i still prefer electrum wallet, I've been seeing some other members also recommending for the use of electrum more often than any, as long as a wallet is a non custodial and open source, then its best for our use, we can afford to use such, the most important conditions/features to look after have already been mentioned.

There are actually many free wallet options you can choose from. All non custodial wallets are free to use. Unstoppable does have some premium features but you could still use the wallet.
I wonder, what does Unstoppable wallet offer that premium features?

- Duress mode (meaning if you're threatened to enter your wallet PIN for example, you would end up in another wallet that contains no funds) - Adress checking: this helps you check if the address you're sending funds to is suspicious (they use chainAnlysis and some other public blacklisted DBs IIRC). - Trading signals or something of that sort. The first two features are quite useful, but, not something the average user cannot live without.

Electrum has both a desktop and an Android version, since that is what you seek, then you may want to start using Electrum. As long as you download electrum from the official website, then you can use it either on Android or desktop. Other than that, what you should be concerned about is how secure your device is and if you have great operational security. That said, if your bitcoin is worth a whole lot, then you should buy a hardware wallet. If you cannot buy a hardware wallet, then you should learn how to run your Electrum wallet in an airgapped device, which is a great method of cold storage.

No, no. I have a hardware wallet that I'm pretty satisfied with. I am looking for a software wallet that I will use for daily transactions. I want to keep my "long-term hold" BTC on a hardware wallet that I don't use daily and some BTC on a software wallet that I will use daily. I'll try Electrum for Android. Thanks for the suggestion. I didn't even know that it exists

I use Bluewallet too but the issue I've with it is that it won't allow you choose below default fees. I like to have the liberty of choosing what fee I want to use. As for Electrum, though a lot of positive reviews are in its favour, I see it as a regular wallet. That isn't to say that what people have said concerning it isn't right but it isn't superlative in my view. BTW, I also use it. However, my good to go wallet is Coinomi. Yeah, I know most users here don't like it. I've been using it for eight years now without any ish. I can customize my fee on it.

Since you said you are using electrum wallet I guess you make a good choice, because that is the best wallet majority of the Bitcointalk users are using to hodl their BTC for long years before they can settle down to sell. Nothing wrong when you chose two wallet OP, because you can be saving BTC in the Electrum wallet and save altcoins to other wallets and it will help you not to be in an hurry to sell BTC on time. I believe you know that those two wallet you mentioned have seeds phrase which you must write them down or save them to where it will be easy for you to locate and start using them to recover your wallet back in case you misplace your phone or laptop. Since I started using electrum wallet it has not fail me and I will continue using electrum wallet to hodl my BTC for long years. I like wallet that make BTC safe when hodling for long years, because there is nothing like fear of scammers stealing your BTC from your wallet compared to other wallets scammers use to break through easily to steal people coins.

Which free Bitcoin wallet is best recommendable for someone who can't afford hardware wallet?
No one who can afford a hardware wallet or cold wallet/air-gapped setup should seriously invest in cryptocurrencies. This is not about something that costs thousands of $, but about something that can be achieved with $50 or less. Between Electrum and Unstoppable wallet, I choose these two because they are the best open source wallet that I can find, free on mobile to be precise, not PC.
Never trust, verify the installation file before installing the wallet. Nowadays, it is possible to compromise practically anything online, and those who have been victims of Electrum phishing know this best.
