It allows you to generate:
- A public address – used to receive coins
- A private key – the secret required to spend those coins
These details can be printed or written down. Once stored on paper and kept offline, the wallet exists offline.
Beyond creation, the web interface can also be used to interact with the blockchain. You can:
- Check the balance of your paper wallet address
- Create and sign transactions
- Broadcast signed transactions to the network
This approach allows you to store coins offline most of the time while still being able to use them when needed — without installing a full wallet application.
