Do we care?
Not even a little bit.

Here is the truth:
We didn't start WagerX to be another generic affiliate farm. We started it because we were tired of the "wild west" and wanted to build a safe place for the community.

1, We want to know our visitors are adults who understand the risk.
2, We want to prioritize safety over "shilling."
3, We want to build the gold standard for transparency in crypto gambling.

Truly crypto gambling is a wild west in terms of ethics and legality and oversight.
Sometimes it's better sometimes it shows an ugly face.

For instance crypto gambling used to be all about probable fairness. Now... I can barely recognise things in the industry. Almost no new games are provabky fair so one of the good features we had fades away while all the shady practices end up being assimilated one by one...

You’re 100% right, we’ve moved from the era of 'Don't Trust, Verify' (Provable Fairness) to an era of 'Just Trust Us' (Shady Marketing). The industry 'assimilated' the profits but abandoned the principles.

We can't fix the whole 'Wild West' overnight, but I’m sure that together we can change the future for online gambling.

The suggestion I have about this is that you should program it in such a way that it will recognize the IP address of regular visitors so that it doesn't have to ask the person this question always, for example even if you visit the site 10 times w day, you will have to click it again and again. By the way, the feature is good.

Great input! The age gate (the glass door overlay) is already set up to only show once. When a user clicks to verify they're 18+, the user is - wagerx_age_verified that lasts for 30 days. So if someone visits 10 times in a day, they'll only see the overlay on their very first visit -- after that, it's skipped automatically.

All casinos should make users KYC in some form before accepting a deposit and save the drama that we see later in the scam accusations section here on the forum, but it's obviously not done in order to give casinos a back door into not paying out to some users. SO, I suppose Kudos to wagerx for trying it this way, but they definitely have put themselves in a tough spot as bad traffic will just move on. That's good, just hurts the bottom line short term.

I tend to agree. At first I thought it was a nice effect, but after seeing it a couple of times  ... I think I prefer having fixed text instead of the typewriter effect.
I will test another version.

I think this should be the standard procedure for licensed casino but some scammer can still bypassed this by using purchased KYC. I’m not sure the extent of the KYC service but maybe they can do liveness check as part of their service.

Nevertheless, KYC is inevitable to all licensed casino but O have no problem with the current standard procedure which they just requires it mostly on account that shows irregularities.
