it just started to mine it took 15 hours to load the chain
hmm it booted to load at block 850000 and that is not a full node I think it will turn off and it did.
it is going back to loading the chain block 857276 is where it is up to. So it is trying to start mining too soon. It did it again

961147 is the block height at time of writing so yeah, you're not fully synced yet but that's certainly faster than the Apollo II was from memory

Got mine a couple days ago. Took almost exactly 1 full day to download the blockchain. Super impressed by how quite this thing is at ~13TH/s (Eco mode). Running Solo now... I ran the Apollo BTC for years without a single issue and it's still running fine. Well, that is until I tried to update to the latest version anyway. It bricked during the update but I'm restoring it now and I'm sure it will be fine.

Question about my Apollo BTC... can I point the hash to my Apollo 3? I will shut that node down since I have the III now. I am at block 960,000 so it should mine in a little bit. the blockchain is a bit over 803gb so far I have a new 2tb ssd in it. node is good miner won't mine I will be back later to work on this. I constantly get 0 asic found I think I need to return the unit. as I can get pools to see the miner but I can't get the miner to see the asic chip.

No The node works I get incoming and out going. But the miner comes back and says no asics found. Then it shuts off. Worse yet it waits a minute fires up and does it again over and over and over. With fans at fast speed. I have to wait for instruction on a return. I sent a pm and will likely get an answer tomorrow. I would run the node but with the thing restarting over and over it is a no go. I can get a sign from viabtc that it sees the miner on both bch mining and btc mining. other bugs I should be able to run node only does not let me it restarts the miner over and over. also it came with 2,1,3 firmware I can not find that on the website if I need to flash the card. I will wait and see if others are having the mining issue of 0 ASIC detected loop I will send a note to the website tomorrow. this is the mining log you can see the missing asic on the board issue

Received mine today! Looks like a great bit of kit just like the Apollo II, I'm liking the slightly darker silver/grey colour too! Currently syncing the chain so it will be a bit before I start mining but two things 1) I received mine with the tamper seals already broken, is this normal? (the box looked otherwise unopened) 2) The chassis at the back where the fan outlet is where "Designed by FutureBit" is written.... there's a big bend in the frame itself (pic doesn't look as bad as IRL). Doesn't look like shipping damage but still something to point out

MINER WORKS AS DESCRIBED ----------------------------------
I received my miner and was able to set it up with very few problems. It is mining on an Apollo Solo Node that I have been running for several months. Until today, I was running a mix of BitAxes and NerdQaxe++ units. The total hash rate before the addition of the Apollo III miner was +/- ~20 TH/s.
The Apollo III miner reports a hash rate of ~ 15.3 TH/s at ~240 Watts, and an efficiency of ~15 j/TH. This is more than twice the hash rate of my fastest NerdQaxe++ (6TH) and at a reported efficiency better than all of my various BitAxes and Nerds. My total hash rate, including the Apollo miner, sometimes approaches 45TH, but is usually in the upper 30s. I am running the Apollo miner at the "Balanced" setting.
I also noticed that my miiner came with broken security seals, but have not noticed any physical damage. The included "SatsCard" was a nice thought, but apparently is produced by the "ColdWallet" people affected by the scandalous hack. It is still in the box, a curio of sorts to keep as is.
Hoping to hit that lucky BTC block! L8r... --scryptr

I think they added the card to be nice about the delay. Thus the broken seal.
I guess the sats card is a keepsake.
My unit was a dud the asic chip could not be detected.
I shipped it back for a RMA.
I had provided my own nvme.2 so I have a blockchain loaded to 961,225
It will be interesting to see how easy it is to switch it into the replacement unit.

waiting for my rma to process.
and they did not receive the goods since they were not at the business .
so rushing to the ups store on Thursday as I was asked to do was a waste of time.
Also no info on my order on the website showing the rma or that they sent a label or that they sent a replacement is around.
So I will wait for all of that till Monday or later. Not a big deal but all the more annoying that I was asked to effort a speedy drop off and it was for
naught.

Node fully synced! Started mining and it's running PERFECTLY! It really is a nice bit of kit; I know the price point isn't for everyone but as a hobbyist device it really is awesome.
