Right, so my node is finally synched and looks like it's running fine, and the solo pool is live to other devices on the network.

But no standalone mining is happening, indeed, there's no miner mention anywhere on the UI - I can't even access logs for the miner, it's like it doesn't exist.

The only reference I can find is in system logs:

If you updated via command line this will downgrade your unit to pre-apollo 3 support and will cause this error.

For anyone that received their unit before this week you need to flash your SD card to the image linked below to make sure you are on the latest bug fix release.

All units that shipped this week will have this latest image installed so you should be good to go.

OTA updater wont work for Apollo III until we merge 3 support into mainline in a week or two.

Ah, I did wonder if I'd ended up with an older OS - I did update via command line, so that explains that. Will flash and re-setup - thanks!

I  have a question my RMA comes to my house sometime today.

I have the Nvme.2  ssd from the last unit (my Nvme.2 is my own)

it has up to block 960,000 if I put it in the new Apollo III will it work easy peasy?

or must I add codes on the command line to accept it.

gear came

I used a blank Nvme.2 ssd

You should just be able to put in the synced nvme and away it goes

yeah I did that rather then load a second NVME.2 ssd

and we are mining yeah baby

it needs to settle a bit to get power use on eco but it seems pretty good

maybe 12-13watts

it also let's me mine at ck solo pool if I want to.

Anyone else finding that the remote dashboard (http://futurebit-apollo-3.local/miner) doesn't correspond fully with the local/desktop one? Miner stats seem to be not displaying remotely. Fine on the actual machine.

Super Eco is pretty impressive! 11.55W/Th!

I ran super eco over nite I am doing about 11.65 watts with it. And 8.0th

Happy so far..

Nice work .

Now I did put in the NVME.2 that was on block 961000 and it found it easy peasy.

I also now have a second nvme.2 with about 400,000 blocks loaded.

I may go back to that unfilled one and fill it.

I think I may be able to mine ck solo pool when I am loading the node.

It might be faster to remove the configured SSD from the device and clone it using any hard drive cloning program on another PC.

If you have several such devices, this will be much faster than synchronizing the blockchain on each device.

Remember when they announced that early pre-order customers would get a free upgrade to a 16GB controller? Turns out that isn't true. I ordered as soon as pre orders went live in Feb. and received an Apollo III with the 8GB controller. Not a huge problem, but its very disappointing that mining hardware companies continue to mislead customers like this.

look at center bottom 3/15gb for the ram and it makes a difference as to why the other person did not get it I do not know why.
