Why is my post count showing zero, and I made a post..

Guys, I am a bit confused..

I made a post few days back, but when I checked my profile today it is still showing zero posts.. Or did I do something wrong??

Is this normal for new users, or does it mean my post was deleted?

I just want to understand how it works so I do not repeat the mistake, if I did made one..

Your post is either useless, low value, offtopic, troll, whatever reasons deserved to be deleted by moderator.
Another reason is that topic is useless and was trashed completely by moderator.

You are still missing the point. The issue was not about the topic you were discussing; it should be about the quality of your thread. Low quality topics are mostly deleted by the moderators. Your thread had very low quality and it is likely a repetition of topics that have been discussed many times in that section.

Next time before creating a thread, use the search section of the board to ensure there is no current version of your topic already existing on the board.

He created the thread himself, his post was not a reply, if it was only that his thread was not in the appropriate board, the Moderator would've moved it to where it belongs, but since it is a low value thread, it was deleted completely

This is possible because even if the member's post is not low quality when the thread is deleted then the posts on that thread will also be deleted. It seems the post has been deleted that's why when I checked the op's post history is I only saw two posts in total which is in this thread alone.

Read the forum rules and regulations to avoid further deletion of your post at any time, don't write off topic post or spam.

When I first saw zero on your merit, I thought that was what you referring to, thinking maybe you don't know the difference between merit and post history, now that I got the idea you are talking about, your post will always remain on your profile history as long as it does not violate any forum standard, one of the reasons you can see your post being disappeared is when deleted, which is very obvious that you cannot bring it back, but when moved to another board, it will still remain under your profile is free and not deleted.

It is normal to panic when strange things happens where you don't have clues of how it came about and it is also requires a step forward to get I right.
I see that you are still a newbie who has not been conversant with the forum because experience users does not find it deleting of their posts strange to panic except the moderator is being biased with the user which can be questionable why the post was deleted.
But briefly, posts are deleted because it goes against the forum rules either by violent or fraudulent contests or probably is an off topic.

You can also visit this thread to learn about the telegram bot notifier. There you would get notifications whenever your posts is deleted.

someonetimes invalid posts are being deleted by the moderators when reported, you can equally make some off point posts too, you can also read the forum rules to be at the safer sides, thanks for understanding

People do talk about trading here. Might be on another board though but they do, it’s literally one of the most common topics on here. It may be the quality of your post or maybe someone’s already talked about what you posted before.

I know that feeling, I had my comments deleted from one of my threads when i started out here. In my case, it was a spam(I had commented right under my previous comment).
Like others had suggested, go to the information section(which the link has has been provided) read through.
It is a lot to read though, but you will get more information that will arm you.
This will help you, on subsequent posts.

I didn’t realize that the section wasn’t suitable for that topic, and I wasn’t aware that deleted posts wouldn’t be counted towards activity. I genuinely appreciate the explanations. I’ll take the time to carefully read the forum rules and ensure I post in the right sections from now on.

Yeah..something is wrong, because some were deleted....secondly, you need to work on your posting style so that your post will not be deleted by the mods...

You have to make a research and come up with good idea before creating a thread....And read thoroughly and figure out mistakes and correct them before posting...the function of preview, is to enable us to cross check what we have written before posting...

Take this precaution as a working tools...post in a thread you understand the discussion, some people do comment in a  thread that they know nothing concerning the thread...and that is why most of their discussion always deleted or moved to off topic...

Lastly...you have found out the reason why your posts were reduced to zero, and i think you have to lock the thread to avoid spamming.

Posts are deleted because they have zero or low quality or off-topic. Posts can be not in perfect English and grammar but can still have good contributions and such posts won't be deleted by moderators.

Don't post when you have nothing to contribute for OP to resolve his questions or to help a discussion and a posting style like this will reduce probability of post deletion. Let's keep up principle: post less, read more, only post when you can contribute valuable things for a discussion or to help any question. Keep asking yourself about that, and self-limit your posting intensity, so posters will have less risk of post deletion.

It's simple with natural posters but it's hard with spammers who don't care about posting etiquette or any principle. They only try to ask for reasons of post deletion while I believe that moderators have very low probability of making inaccurate decisions.

That's the major reason why posts are been deleted...they're no posts that's deleted without the post going off to discussion...Some people does know the aim and objectives of a thread, and they suggest anything they feel like...

So the quality of response do determine if a post will be deleted or not...use of English sentences can be a barrier too, when your English sentence is not comprehendable by a reader...such post can be considered as a low quality post...
