indiegogo.com has a global rank of 8,157 (http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/indiegogo.com) and accepts donations at indiegogo.com/commonsense.

That appears to be merely one specific campaign on the indiegogo.com site - not IndieGoGo itself.

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

I assume only domains owned by whoever accepts donations or sells items count.
If not, then I have two who use twitter/reddit. And those two rank really high (9/114).

I am not convinced that Indie Gogo qualifies  The link you provided is for a particular campaign that included a Bitcoin address in their personal campaign page.  When you try to make a contribution through Indie Gogo, they only accept PayPal or credit cards.  This is akin to someone on eBay accepting Bitcoin in their ad.

As for Reddit and Twitter, your assumption is correct.

Let me fix that for you real quick:
Now that Wikimedia's New York City chapter is accepting bitcoins (https://nyc.wikimedia.org/wiki/Donate) can I claim the top rung of the ladder?
And: No. You can't.

Here's what it says on their main page (it's a shame you were too eager to claim the bounty): "The Chapter is a separate organization from the Wikimedia Foundation."

Right.  Right.  Makes sense.

The one thing I don't get is why is it a shame that I was too eager in your estimation?  It wouldn't change the fact that this is still the nyc chapter.  So where is the shame in that?

It's a shame because had you been more patient, you would've hopefully dug around a little and hopefully found that before you posted.
I'm not sure where you found out about it, but it's mentioned several times in the Wikipedia Donations thread over here that the NYC chapter is a separate entity, and it also says so on their website.

So are you saying I should feel some sort of shame for not digging around before posting to this thread?  Because I don't.  Perhaps there is something wrong with me.

"Shame" as in "bummer".

A bummer for me?  Nah.  Just a few bitcoins that I don't qualify for anyway.

According to Alexa.com Reddit is the world's 135th most visited website.
It is especially popular in Canada, USA, Finland and Sweden. Well known Bitcoin countries btw.

http://www.thebitcointrader.com/2011/12/bitcoin-bounty-ladder.html

Introducing the Bitcoin Bounty Ladder (see link, above).

If you can find a higher ranking site than any of the ones on the ladder, you will win the bounty associated with the new site's position on the ladder.

I encourage members of the community to donate to each of the bounties to make this interesting.  I've already seeded the rungs with 12 BTC of my own money.

Your donations will be held in a secure wallet until awarded.

Here's a big bang:

Baidu, Alexa nr 5!  Shocked Shocked

Happy day!

Who's left? Google, Facebook, Youtube, Yahoo. That's all!
