Maybe it can be the reason.

I can not use a wallet like Metamask unless for an urgent reason. The wallet is not a mobile nor desktop wallet but a web wallet which is a web extension. All the apps are just like the am exchange apps which can let the service providers easily block users from connecting to the app.

I prefer at least a desktop or mobile wallet which do not need the app to connect online but only synchronized with central server. Although, I am not sure if the internet service providers will be able to block the nodes but I doubt it.

To what i think could be causing that should be lack of updates or compatibility, meaning your phone isn’t that good with the file you downloaded.
This is one thing that usually makes me not to download app wallet, rather desktop wallet could be more better because your system could be that compatible with the update your system is doing.

Which wallet is it? and who gave you the link? Hopefully you're not being phished.

It could be lots of things. If the wallet is legit:

- You might have issues because you're using a VPN
- It could be a technical problem from the wallet provider....
- Could be an issue with the node you're connected to, (check if the wallet allow you to choose another node)
etc.

You'd have to be more specific about the issue + mention the wallet you're using so we can help you.

I highly doubt it's an internet issue thing but I'm not sure. It's been some time since i last used bluewallet but I don't remember having to wait for this long, I'd just try and restore the wallet somewhere else. Electrum would do.

Oh, Bluewallet. If i remember correctly, i think i have read similar complaints from users. What phone model are you using, i believe it loads slow on older phones. It is probably not the main reason why it's slow, though i think it could exacerbate it.

There are a few things you can do, like updating Bluewallet to the latest version and see if it helps. I am not too sure of this, but you can try uninstalling the wallet and then reinstall it, but make sure you have a correct backup of your seed phrase before doing this. If you have run all the troubleshoots you know, but it is still slow, then maybe you should move your funds to Electrum, it is a great wallet, just like Bluewallet.

If the wallet you are referring to is BlueWallet, I think the problem is not with the wallet, but perhaps with your phone.
What I experienced with BlueWallet in two transfers to the Binance exchange was that I had to wait for the next block after the block containing my transaction was completed. Even though the balance was available on Binance spot, the asset was suspended before the next block was confirmed. That was my experience, and I didn't find the waiting time tedious.
I did take a screenshot, but I've since deleted it, so I can't show it to you.

Blue wallet is one of such wallets it takes approximately 3-6 minutes to load. Most times I have to open the wallet then attend to a few other things before coming back to check if it has finished loading. I don't think it's internet connection in my case neither is it VPN because I don't use VPN. I think it's might be calculating wallets transactions data and fingerprint but to me the time is too long for such task.

I think it is a common thing in BlueWallet to take that long to load. Although it does not happen often, and ill shit the blame to the phone processor, probably for people using devices with less RAM. If the Ram isnt the problem, then apparently the lagging is caused by the wallet itself. Most especially when you have multiple accounts in the wallet, it has to process and update the balance.

Yes, it is not really problem on phones with better processor. If OP phone is having 12 gigabyte RAM, I think such phone will have a better processor.

I am using 8 gigabyte RAM phone with 2.8 GHz processor. Bluewallet loads on it within 13 to 16 seconds.

Updating the wallet balance is still different, it can take 6 to 7 seconds before it is updated. Making the wallet loading time to be around 19 to 23 seconds.

It is still kind of slow.

If it is a lower phone version, it takes longer, although my phone is still a midrange.

Since op hasn't mentioned what wallet he uses, it would be difficult for him to get the solution he needs because all we are going to say here are all guesses. I still think op should tell us the kind of wallet for better solution. Aside that, he should be sure his device is not the problem. Does he update his device regularly? Regular device update helps the device perform better, aids security and stability. Sometimes it might not be from the wallet, the device might actually be the barrier. Op should check and confirm better what the problem is. If it persists, he should transfer his funds to a better safe and secured wallet.

If it is a lower phone version, it takes longer, although my phone is still a midrange.
Though there's no official announcement about this on the BlueWallet team that they have specific minimum RAM or CPU but yes, you can generally expect smooth performance on mid-range devices and above.  Maybe IMO, 3-4 GB is quite enough to run that app.

No one asks OP about the version on the BlueWallet.
Sometimes you may experience lag or delay in opening the app if it isn't updated to the latest version.

OP, maybe it's time for you to buy a new high-end phone or even a mid-range, but only for BlueWallet, uninstall other apps.  Cheesy

Some wallets are now restricting some locations, it sound stupid but its real, I read about something like that online through a crypto news feed, I have not come across similar problem before on a smartphone but on PC.

My PC was acting weird at a time in 2025 where my metamask won't sync and I can't do anything, I even missed out on claiming an airdrop at the time because I used the metamask for airdrops like claiming.

I later fixed the problem by switching to a router instead of using my phone connection then changing DNS to google very own DNS and to my surprise I instantly notice the difference.

Here is my suggestion.

Start by changing your Access point settings.
Find Authentication type and change to PAP only and try again.
I have fixed apps not working right this way in the past.

Also make sure that your APN protocol stays in IPV4, some people will want to force IPV6 but their network provider is not supporting IPV6 and if you choose it your internet connection won't be very smooth.

Sometimes it could be as a result of multiple folders and apps  always open on your phone.  When you have too many open files on your phone it tends slow down the activities on your phone.  It could even be that one of the files that are open are corrupted and so affects the activities that you are ongoing.  So you might need to always close your applications immediately after you use them. To enable you use your phone without hanging.

No it's the official wallet of blue wallet

Thanks for drawing my attention to it, didn’t see his reply when I dropped my post earlier. If blue wallet gives him that much troubles and he is certain the issue isn't from his device, he can as well move his funds to a more secured wallet just like I suggested earlier in my previous post. I have never used Blue wallet before, but from the replies so far, it seems Blue wallet is known for the lagging behaviour.

When a device starts lagging and slows down due to multiple folders open in the device, the RAM is basically the issue, which is typically what we have been saying.

It could even be that one of the files that are open are corrupted and so affects the activities that you are ongoing.  So you might need to always close your applications immediately after you use them. To enable you use your phone without hanging.

Bluewallet always takes a little time to open and refresh updates, it happens often, meaning the issue has nothing to do with corrupted files. Unless you are suggesting that everyone using bluewallet has a correupted file on their device. This is a common thing in the wallet.

If it is a lower phone version, it takes longer, although my phone is still a midrange.
Though there's no official announcement about this on the BlueWallet team that they have specific minimum RAM or CPU but yes, you can generally expect smooth performance on mid-range devices and above.  Maybe IMO, 3-4 GB is quite enough to run that app.

No one asks OP about the version on the BlueWallet.
Sometimes you may experience lag or delay in opening the app if it isn't updated to the latest version.

OP, maybe it's time for you to buy a new high-end phone or even a mid-range, but only for BlueWallet, uninstall other apps.  Cheesy

That's sad because it's a good wallet and suggested by almost everyone. If the same issue still comes out when you download and use other wallets then it's the phone. But if not, maybe there's a compatibility issue with your phone and blue wallet. It's not enough if your phone is in latest version of android because if the hardware itself is not compatible to the software, it will cause the lag just like how you've experienced it.

I think you have to update the version of your phone. Just to share my experience, I had similar challenges sometimes ago with my phone,  I observed that the apps in my phone were taking much time to load, even though I had stable internet service. Firstly I thought it was the apps that were outdated so I made sure I updated them, but it didn't solve the problem. I complained to a friend who advised me to check for my phone update. I did and updated the phone android version, that was how the problem got solved. You can do the same thing hopefully it works for you.

Since you decided to stop using blue wallet so that's a first step rather than continue using the wallet which as you have said that it's very laggy. Anyway, have you tried contacting them about the issue?. I think it's on their end if there's no problem with your internet connection and device. It could also be compatibility issue where it won't run smoothly since other forum members using their device will load the app in a short time and my guess that it could be the speed of your device.
