There's a common theory (potentially a conspiracy theory) that administrations (particularly the current one in the US) try to dump a lot of information ahead of major votes or world events to skew what's being reported on and overwhelm reporters.

In a lot of instances, due to population size and the amount of people that hyperfocus on random things, I'm not sure how well this actually plays out and works to the administration's advantage. Aside from that, it's often touted that the people who think they're most resistant to propaganda can often be the most susceptible to some of it too so maybe that's potentially happening here. 1. Large info dump 2. A few questionable activities that gets the medus talking 3. Something insane that's presented as mundane or normal to reporters (eg by anchoring) that no one really takes account of...

From my own point it's like sometimes this big organisation seems to try in controlling the narratives by flooding out many informations, and hoping that important things will just by pass without anyone noticing but that's wrong truth be told when it comess to little things people do notice it and that's part of human nature no matter how little that is it will be noticeable by the people around that environmentwhike sometimes humans nature also make some people do trick themselves even though they do it with caution .
It's Clear that no matter how smart the plan will be, the way humans do pay attention and understands it will surely affects the outcome

It is a strategic pattern of information flow control used by modern governments to detract the concerned citizens from paying to too much details on critical informations that can reveal and raise a self awareness among the people on the government. Without delay they create another events to shade off, tussle and  trend over the ongoing major information. And there are the propagandists media agents helping to make sure the irrelevant informations spread to make the people get lost on the important reports.

I agree, it's a way for them to distract people from what actually is happening and that's why they have to overload the news with some kind of BS that are irrelevant. Because if they want to release real information, they would to. But if they're classified and private, there's a reason why instead of releasing those information that are genuine, they'll have to choose the other path which is to overload it. These distractions are common denominators of different governments, they all have agendas and propagandas.

If there is way too much information at once it get people tired and confused as well. And due to the nature of time and space which is always in a limited supply, the reporters can not cover or do justice to everything and that may result to some important issues not getting the required attention. But with the case of social media and other emerging independent podcast and voices, the public can still focus on a subject topic and keep it very much alive.

It's a simple thing, once information past refused to be concise and title covering of the entire body it becomes junk before the people and demand no attention.but in the case it's usually the strategic system adopted to curve the public attention inorder to achieve their ordeal which they play, as today many information lack filter as deem necessary before, they created a while level of burden for the people to focus in searching the real information while running out of time. There if nothing to argue about this as it becomes the factual happening in today's world of information.

Flooding the Zone has worked in the past.

One thing in relation to the current Epstein files drop is that it highlights systemic issues. You wouldn't have to read any salacious details to know that the justice system wasn't working in the interests of "we the people".

That those who were being protected leaked information online to redirect? Is also an interesting line of enquiry.

The money and land grab going on in the world right now while mass surveillance and A.I. centers are being constructed would make old empires jealous and maybe cower.
The cruelty towards and degradation of humanity would make Genghis Khan salivate.

How is that a "conspiracy theory", when Steve Bannon has publicly admired Trump using using "Flood The Zone" strategy?

But if you are talking about Epstein Files, current administration isn't "dumping" them for their benefit. They even strongly opposed it but they are legally obligated to give them, even though they have given only fractions of it. And even deleted some of them in panic afterwards.7

You can just follow the real world, there doesn't need to be some theories why they do what they do, when it's out in the open.
