I tagged @snarlpill about a month ago as he suddenly woke up after 2021 and straight away applied for two signature campaigns (1 & 2).
Strangely, after that day he disappeared again. Since the account seems to be highly reputable and could be used for malicious purposes, leveraging the past reputation, hence this topic. Be very cautious before dealing with him.  
This is not an attack on @snarlpill's reputation in any manner, just a public topic with preventive measures in mind. This will be locked at the same minute, he will provide proof that he is the real owner of the account.
EDIT: A PM has been sent in case he has not noticed the tag for last one month.

Seems like he has done that in the past, showing up after a few years of being away and applying for a signature campaign, for example this case from 2018, when he applied for CM. After asked, he provided signed message confirming that he is the original owner.

Also, bpip shows no change of email or password, just that he like to wake up every few years.

Based on how he applied for the campaigns in the past, he might be the same person. Probably someone who just goes on and off the forum, and what probably draws attention is how he applies after a couple of years of being inactive, while promising that his post quality will be good.

To be honest, i don't think he even stands a chance of getting enrolled without being active prior to applying for a signature campaign

I don't think the said user is bought/hacked account as your tags reads because judging from the last post made by that user in this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5571860.msg66309925#msg66309925 it shows that he is an old time member who has not been active in the forum after he made last post in 2021 but in the security/update log by bpip.org, it shows that the account last woke up on 23 October 2022 before it became inactive until January 14 2026 when the account woke up again and started applying for signature campaigns.

For him to prove that he owns the profile will require a signed message but that will be if he staked his bitcoin address in the forum. However, there are many people that have been inactive in the forum for years and some only visits when a signature campaign is open.

People have the right to take a break from the forum for years and return back, they do not owe anyone any explanation except there is/are suspicious activity about the account after they wake up, maybe a proof of ownership of their account might be necessary to clear doubts.

I would have been bothered if the color of the tag had been red. However, if you suspect it's changing hands, you may leave neutral feedback,, and I think that's fine. As other forum members already mentioned, it seems this member did similar things before, and there are no changes in his account information, such as email or password. So, it is kind of safe to assume he is the real owner of the account.

Personally, I would be angry if someone create a thread against me without showing any real evidence of their claim. I would say, it is better to lock the thread and keep your eyes on his account for now and then open the thread again if you find something suspecious.

I though about it but I think prevention is better (in case I am right), besides that there is no need to be angry or anything, I expect the same treatment for myself if I respawn after 4 -5 years.

As other forum members already mentioned, it seems this member did similar things before,

I think we can tolerate one reputation topic every 4-5 years, specially if the account is reputed with high trust ratings.

I see no reason to believe this account changed hands. The account is 10 years older than OP, used to trade physical items, and now comes back every couple of years trying to get paid to continue posting.

He proved it in 2018 and question stopped there. Same will happen this time.
The other side might be how did memehunter with so much less years here dared to open a thread about me? In that case I can only act as per what I feel right and I did that with the explanation. This is not an attack in any manner.
