How Does the DT System Work, Are There Any Technical Guidelines?

As an admin, bros @theymos should be one of the most trusted people on this forum. He is indeed & should be trusted because he currently holds control over this forum, we all agree on that point, right?





But when I checked BPIP for his profile, I saw his status as DT2. As far as I know, the DT2 level is below DT1. After that I checked bros @LoyceV profile, I saw his status as DT1. There must be something I don't know about this system, so let's get straight to the point, is there a technical guideline for determining whether a user is eligible for DT1 & DT2 status?

DT membership was not created to portray status actually it was created for trade related issues. The trust system ideally is used for cases by that relate to financial trust based off past transactions and Theymos doesn't have a bucket load of it because he doesn't actually transact with members here.

There are top members here with very decent top scores and I can say LoyceV trust count wasn't really up much when I was first here. Nevertheless just remember the trust system is mainly for trading.

As far as I know; the DT system rotates from DT1 to DT2, and if someone remains in 1 maybe next 7 days he could be in 2. And to be a DT you need to set up your trustlist. Although from little knowledge I have, you can only becomes a member if someone already in the Default Trust already added you to their list. I could be wrong but it's similar to something like This. Then about trust rating, this is also determine how many trade counts you could have with people around the forum, and they give you positive feedback due to your performance or level of transparency you could be on your trade or any financial involvement.

Theymos shuffle DT1 every month with few people in DT2.

He also make himself to be in DT2 but later make himself to be in DT1 as he is shuffling it every month. I am DT1 now, but I can be removed in any month but likely later be in DT1 again in another month.

At least, DT1 members will know this so that if they see themselves in DT2, the should not think that they are demoted, they can also still be in DT1 again as theymos shuffles it again the following month or the next.

If I understand this thread correctly, DT1 candidate members must be selected by the admin, who then conducts a vote, which can be seen on this page. If teymos isn't on DT1, it means he didn't apply himselves, the voters turnout wasn't eligibled, or no one voted for him.

I think to be able to get eligible for you to be added to DT1 you'll have to at least be in DT2. Nevertheless if you visit BPIP you'll discover those in DT especially DT2 have a sort of trust score and I'm guessing that's part of the things considered before you can be selected to DT1.

That rotation is done by Theymos however I'm not sure of all the variables that are considered before they actually get selected for DT1.

Thanks for all your answers broski, at first I thought the election would have a mechanism like in the DAO system, but it turns out the method is still centralized. Bros @theymos do eeny, meeny, miny, moe with narrow scale in DT1, DT2 & other users who have potential to be DT2. I hope I've grasped all your points correctly & drawn the right conclusions.
