Some people feel like laws are actually limiting human potentials, I think I've come across a thread like that somewhere in the forum, but the truth is that it does quite the opposite. Sometimes I just sit and imagine a world where everyone was allowed to do what they wanted and no one would question them, then only the rich and elite would have a voice, the poor would have no other option but to succumb to the dictate of the rich. Now we complain of bad governments, how the government does some things they are not meant to, trust me, if there were no laws, then the bad government we see today would be just a tip of the ice berg.

Only a fool would pay blind eyes to the roles that laws play in the society, even God has laws, and these laws are not to enslave or limit people's capacity, but to maintain orderliness. Only animals live without laws, because only animals are allowed to behave the way they desire, do what they want, when they want and how they want. and the truth is that, there are actually animals in human form, and without the law, these animals would be allowed to roam and do whatever they please without being questioned or put in their place.

Don't get me wrong but even animals have laws which they keep among their communities, they have the leaders and have their territories which they guard jealously against invaders. In fact animals keep to the laws even more than humans because there are brutal consequences to going against it. Human beings are also animals, but advanced one, so laws are important to keep them in check but it is a very regrettable thing that some group of influential people are now above the law and do whatever they like, judiciary systems in so many countries have failed to deliver justice and only do so if the defendant is not a wealthy person.

Actaully there was time in history where men could take another man's wife with shear force,rob another man, and do at his will. before the flood, when such moments is near, The earth becomes punished and rebalanced by higher force(God), fire came from above, flood over the earth , and the likes. Its a negative warning to life.

Those adulterous behavioural patterns only happened because they believed those people doing it was above the law which means they cannot do anything to them and not because there was no law. From the origin of earth there have been series of laws governing the activities of man in accordance to there cultural beliefs.
I still cannot forget that even then those wicked and adulterous men where cleared off the surface of the earth all because they when against the laws of nature believing know one has the power to question there actions or even stand on there way to say know to there decisions.

One thing about breaking these laws because you feel you have the power to do so is that, even if you manage to escape the punishment at that time, a time will surely come when you will surely face the wrath of the law. If there is no legal rule anywhere and no prohibition of any criminal act, then naturally the amount of criminal acts increases due to misuse of power. This makes people move away from their morality and responsibility, so it is very necessary for a civilized society to have laws and social rules and accountability. However, discriminatory and unjust laws have a negative impact on everyone in the society, as a result of which the justice system becomes based on hatred. The purpose of law and morality is to maintain order, security and humanity in the society. Accountability is necessary to build a healthy society, at the same time, reason and a human perspective are equally important.

With what we see now happening everywhere including internationally, the law is only for the weaker countries and the common man. Stronger countries and people have the leverage of violating the law without consequences. Gone are the days the court is the hope of a common man, now it is only the hope of a common man if his fellow common man is involved, but if it is a powerful person, he likely stands little or no chance.

Do not get me wrong, laws are good, it is meant to shape people's behavior and ensure they are conforming to ethical and acceptable practices in the society. It is only very ugly that it now seems that the powerful are above the law and in most cases, they are not held accountable for their various violations of the law.

Yeah I may agree with your point, saying that law doesn't work  on wealthy people, but yet still you can't no do without law  in society, because law is a rules that guide and shaped a living life  in a particular country, without law there will no be society, because it a key that makes society growth and stronger, both locally and internationally law is counted, its what kept them to a stage that makes them being mentioned internationally or locally.

There is no society without law,  law is body that  govern every individual to know  legal and illegal,  but in some cases law  is violated as you said, why because due to power that  is given to some  individuals, commoners didn't have say or right to  there own selves, in the sense that corruption has took over everything, if not society cannot be dominate without law, rather the society will be mentioned as animals whom has no rules and will be behaving some immorality attitudes legally.

The only reason people are living together and doing things in common is because there’s a law guiding there attitude or behavior. It is this law that prevents the strongest from taking advantage of the weak, it is this law that makes you stay in your house comfortably without fear, just imagine there’s no law that is guiding people do you think you can live a comfortable life?
Without law being in place society will not exist, because what holds every group of individuals together are laws that are set in place. So for those of you, that’s usually think or believe that without law people will be free and enjoy life more, you are very low in thinking.

I completely understand your point and I know from where you are coming from , laws and regulations are no doubt the basic pillars of a society everyone living together needs to follow those laws they give a direction to everyone but as you have said that without law there will be no society I do not agree with this point because in the past there were group of people who were living together without any written agreement or certain laws and regulation , they were together on the basis of their cast, on the basis of their religion and their mutual understanding ,it is not 100% correct that a society cannot be formed without laws.  Society is shaped by the law but it does not create it.

You are actually correct, the constitution of many countries have set some people above the law for example some countries, the president of countries, the governors of states and ambassadors to countries are actually above the law and this is made so to also protect them from the society anger.

Well, you might be right but how sure are you that they are living without law? Maybe, they come to agreed to act on a particular way and which they will do just as they were instructed, not that they can do or act in their own ways but there are some things that they do that limit, so I don't really support you on this, even the very beginning of this earth, there is a law and it means law has been in existence and have make people to live orderly, though some people choose to go their own way, that doesn't mean they are bad. Even though it's easily for laws to be bent to favour the wish of the rich, it's still the existing institution that has allowed the relative peace we're enjoying to remain a thing till now. A lawless society is half dead and leaving at the edge of distraction. Without a system that sees to the efficacy in the implementation of already enacted laws, society will exist but will only remain at the mercy of of those that are the superpowers in such a society.

Give the populace the slightest impression that they can do things and go free and see how many casualties will be recorded in the shortest possible time.
