Another Stake Froze my Funds thread.

I made a stake account placed 1 sports bet and won. I spun some slots for a while, then all of a sudden they restricted my account pending KYC. I am verified Level 1 & 2, however with Level 3 & 4 they keep just giving me the run around. Whatever document I upload for them, they will say "oh it needs to be notarized" or "oh actually were not going to accept that document" and its been well over 3 months now. I cannot believe this is happening to me. Actually I wish I had done my research first because the amount of people with the same problem is mind boggling. Live chat is useless, I feel desperate and defeated.

Has anyone else been in a similar situation?

Yep, a lot of users struggle to complete level 3 and level 4 KYC verification at Stake. And most of them get success in those verification steps after a lot of unsuccessful attempts. You won't get any help from here as Stake doesn't have any active representatives in this forum. You should submit a complaint to the mediators like Askgamblers or CasinoGuru to get better help.

I cannot believe this is happening to me. Actually I wish I had done my research first because the amount of people with the same problem is mind boggling. Live chat is useless, I feel desperate and defeated.
It's hard to understand your case. Was your account verified from the beginning, or did they just ask for KYC after you won? Why have you been playing without verification then if they have a KYC option? You haven't followed the correct scam format and haven't added anything, not even your username. Let's say a Stake representative responds here and wants to solve your problem. How will they identify you? They usually don't accept fabricated documents for verification; make sure you have submitted relevant legal documents.

Unless you share the clear picture, we can't help you or call Stake here to respond. Before creating an accusation, at least you should read the pinned post if you don't know how to post. Keep trying to solve issues with their support system; also, share screenshots here to understand what's going on.

I think he means that he is adding a thread in here because there are already others here with a similar problem.

Normally he should have had level 1 ad 2 KYC from the beginning since this is mandatory for I think 2 years now. Can't make a deposit before passing the first level(s).
I have my stake account for 5 years now and I have never been asked for level 3 and 4 KYC, so this is not normal. When they ask this I think they have a suspicion of something going on.

But yeah, I wonder how long OP is playing on stake already.

Have you tried just to get this documents notarized? In some countries / legislation this can be done in police station or just with a lawyer.
Ok there is a fee but probably this is the quickest solution.
I would pay attention... if you can't withdraw this means you can't withdraw a win and not a deposit. Probably this could be also a double check from their side...

OP, were the documents you presented were they up to standard, because sometimes they need some documents that were activated a long time ago, and not documents that are new, and in this case, they give the time duration of such a document, so meet up with their standard for verification. So, probably the documents you might have presented might be new ones that might be months old or something.

You just have to keep trying, or if you feel it is a scam on you, you should report it here appropriately, as advised by The Cryptovator, so that the community can intervene on your behalf, but note that they do not have an active representative here that would fast-track your complaint through this platform to them effectively.

Actually it's the other way around. Documents must be new and not older than mostly 3 months. I never heard of a site that requests "seasoned" documents or statements or whatever, and I have been with MANY sites and saw many KYC requests. I have seen many cases in which stake gave players the runaround with documents for level 3 and 4, always stating they would accept type A, but when you give them type A they suddenly want to see type B, whatever this might be. No clue why they do this, maybe tjhey just want to wear the player out, make him frustrated so he gives up.

@kdubbin, when they reject any kind of document, do they tell you the reason why it was rejected? I also want you to be clear on whether you submitted notarized documents and they were also rejected. Did they give you any more alternatives?

All I can say is you shouldn't give up until they provide you with a viable solution.
