Quoting OP topic and post on page 9

Did you not assume that the one who answers, quoting the first post, entered the topic for the first time and decided to respond exclusively to the author? I already asked you earlier, do you think people can read all 50 pages of the topic to understand that the issue of discussion has long been resolved?

To be honest, I feel like when thread has so many replies it's important one go through comments rather than directly quoting Op without doing that. It's rear for someone not have given similar reply like you would have and also there are other to correct or add to what they say through reading replies.

I don't even like commenting on threads like that aside from the football section which has more fresh post, I'm not going to disregard spamming there also but looking at other threads there speaking about gambling is more ironic.

It depends.
Let's say we are in a technical thread, the OP has asked how to recover their funds. People replied to OP and asked them some questions like what wallet did you use, what's your addresses type, etc.
After some pages, the issue was resolved and the OP was able to recover the funds. Someone jumps into the conversation without reading the previous posts and asks OP what wallet they used. This is 100% spam.

No one is forced to post in the forum. If someone hasn't followed the discussion and doesn't have time to read the previous posts, they should refrain from posting.

I am not surprised, those things are reduced now compared to what we had in the 2018/2020 era. And that is one of the reasons why I stopped creating threads, people will just keep quoting the first post and end up with a pile of notifications from the telegram bot that will lose track of my other mentions. I could have that thread on ignore but I want to be notified of something that requires my reply.

Could be spam, but try reporting the post and see mod agrees with it or not, no need to create thread for each and ever spam post we see.

I do not see any reason to entirely quote the whole page on the OP, instead; when the OP wrote a very lengthy thing they could just snip out the area they would like to comment on than quoting the entire page of the op. Whenever I sees someone doing I am assuming that such person is either entirely newbie or who doesn't know how to use the quoting features. Sometimes when I see such I wouldn't mind reporting them to the moderator and because of this I don't also like commenting on a mega thread because it's a bunch of repetitive comments from people users.

If its a direct question/answer, and that user posted those same replies by the others, that could be considered as a spam. Even it should be licked after getting enough response.
Unless it's an opinionated and experienced based questions, as it will vary user to user and still considerable even though the replies and experience is almost the same.

I took the time to read the posts in this thread, and I noticed that some people consider it spam while others don't.

But that's not the point here. The point is: what is the OP's objective?

Now, you might say that nothing new was said in this particular case. That may be true, but it doesn't invalidate the debate.

Let's take an example: imagine you join a group of friends who are at a bar, and they've already been talking about a topic for half an hour. You arrive, greet your friends, and start listening to what they're talking about. Having heard the point in the conversation where they are, you make an observation about the subject. This observation was already mentioned 20 minutes ago. Are your friends going to kick you out? Are they going to attack you for already having said this?

I don't think so. They might say that's already been said, but perhaps you could later offer a different perspective following this observation, one that hasn't yet been considered. Honestly, I believe something similar has happened to everyone.

You might say that in a forum, all conversations are recorded. Yes, that's true. But if the OP raises a question and I want to give an opinion, even if 60 opinions have already been given, I don't care if it's already been given or not, I want to give my point of view.
Of course, it will depend on the topic and what is being discussed, but making this a rule makes no sense at all.

To me, having 2 or 3 topics discussing the same subject in a short period of time (as is the case with this topic) is more like spam than making a post in response to the OP, 10 pages later.

If someone created a thread and asked a direct question for example “ how can i change my password on bitcointalk forum” , if you visit a thread like this what you should do is to go through people’s reply to see if someone answered the question very well, if no answered the question then you can answer, but if someone answered the question but missed something you can just quote the answer and then add what you feel should be included and that’s not spam, but if you come across the thread and you didn’t bother to read reply’s and you go on to answer the question it is spam and that’s what you had in mind to do.

However when someone create a thread and asked for everyones experience or idea for example “ how has this forum helped you”, if you visit a thread like this you don’t need to read people’s responses all you need to do is to write because is like a personal question, and when you write something similar to another you can’t call that spamming.

This is no different than if a new member asks about something that was asked between pages 1-8 that they didn't know about and has already answered, does someone have to check the entire post to answer? Imagine it has become 50 pages. Or someone creates a new thread to ask similar questions that have been answered thousands of times.

Writing the same 10 constructive posts at different times is better than the habit of 1 varied generic post.

This kind of thing is actually not new and cannot always be considered spam. There are times when we have never replied to a particular topic and then we become interested in replying to it at some point, even though there are already more than 10 pages of replies and explanations to the OP. And there are times when we also want to reply to the OP from our point of view. Especially nowadays, topics created just a few days ago can sometimes get several pages of replies in a short time. Everyone has the right to respond from their own perspective, even though we may find similar views in most of the replies. And not everyone wants to always check the replies by opening the many pages that have been created.

The simplest way is to report it to the moderator, write down your reason for reporting, and let the moderator evaluate the post. (Although I don't think this is necessary at all)

Let us assume that the person posted it off hand but is it good to have such a long thread but you just decide to quote the OP topic and post on page 9 or on a very long thread. Is that not a spam?

It's spam.

A good post is only good and helpful if it answers questions or concerns that was not answered by any previous posts, pages.
In your example, that post is not helpful because answers previously already helped OP to solve his concern or problems.

I only read two posts the first and second.

I can tell you you are sometimes right and sometimes wrong since depending on the answers if someone that really knows his stuff agrees with one post of the 50 made it would carry weight and likely prove that is the correct answer.

my reaffirmation of what to do or not do would carry far more weight then that of many others.

Especially since I have an entire section on my YouTube channel with no links for profit showing ways to run quiet miners.

But in general most people reading the first two posts and giving an op quote without bothering to read the other posts are not offering good info.

I would venture to say that my response here is significant different than others even if I did not bother to read the other answers.
