Yea, using an online payment platform that skips KYC can be very risky. If they are not reputable, there is the possibility of losing his funds to fake KYC sites that will shut him out immediately payment is made and he may not be able to recover his funds from them. I suggest he not only focus on no KYC, he can go for very reputable platforms that will guarantee a successful transaction whether it demands KYC verification or not. The goal is to ensure that his fund is safe, otherwise, he can buy from a friend. I got my first bitcoins from a friend.
