Does gambling has anything to do with spirit or testing people’s fate?

Just today I saw two guys arguing, and one of them was very angry. I was curious to know what the issue was because the other one was trying to compensate him with other stuff. When he left, I asked the angry one what the issue was; he said the other guy was a "messed up", and he proceeded to tell me the other guy gave him a parlay ticket last week, and he used very big money to stake it and he lost it.

Then I ask him why he was so confident of the game to the extent of using big money that's beyond what he can afford to lose, because it's obvious he couldn't afford to lose the money. And he said he always tries people's spirit, and this guy has always failed him.

I am making this thread to know if you all have come across such a situation and how possible is this spirit stuff is. Because he can't stop being angry with the guy that gave him the ticket.

Superstitions? Believing that someone can control the result? No, I don't believed in any spirit or something.

I'll trust my feeling or my analysis on what to bet, maybe those who try this stuff and won could be just all in coincidence as everything is random. Just imagine if those tickets won, for sure he will trust that guy again.

Following a bet through spirit? It's difficult to understand this kind of superstition, which I believe is one.

I do understand people who just like following other bets because of their good record. Not through the spirit or the luck of the one who made the parlay ticket. I bet they are both old enough to understand the risk since they can gamble in that place.
But it seems like the angry one didn't have any idea that he was blindly following or copying the other gambler. This is why I don't like copying other bets. It's more difficult to move on since it's not your own decision or your own analysis. The frustration is worse than making our own tickets.

When it comes to gambling, you cannot put 100% of your trust in people; it's your money, so it should be your decision. If people fail to give you the right tips, you will feel betrayed and angry.
Don't just accept tips or advice; verify them, and if you believe, accept the results, because it's your decision to believe in the tip.

Betting on someones choices or preference is never been that on my vocalbulary or something that i would do, because once those bets would be losing then that would be leaving out that regret on which that it might cause up that anger and disappointment. I would rather prefer on losing money which is made by my own choice rather than on trying out to make up bets according into someones belief or whatever it would be , that would be leaving out that great disappointment and you would be that be angry on which is normal but actually it was your own fault. If you've been that being forced to bet unto something and promised you that it will be a sure win then you are just that being fooled. If they were that 100% sure win then they wouldnt be allowing other people to bet on their own choices but only with their own. The also mistake of that bettor is that he put up an amount that he cant afford to lose and thats always been the wrong thing for people to do when they do betting.

This is very normal for some people, especially those into gambling, and maybe he was angry with the other guy, like maybe they are really close to each other? Plus, I don't believe that's the reason, like it's because of a person's spirit. Like, think of it, how will you get angry at that guy just because of that? There are other reasons for sure.

This is just the superstitious believe that some persons have which is not realistic but yet they find a way to convince themselves that it is true. Athough when you see people having a kind of believe that you don't agree with, they have their reasons for that and it is because they already had multiple encounter as regards to that thing, that's why would just believe in it but doesn't mean that it is the same for every one.  Someone said they always lost their bets each time they share it with it with someone else after they have staked on the game, so that made them believe that sharing their games with someone else gives them bad luck. I don't experience that.

It's also a bit ridiculous to me that there are still people who believe in or associate other people spiritual powers with gambling.

This is very normal for some people, especially those into gambling, and maybe he was angry with the other guy, like maybe they are really close to each other? I have had a personal experience with almost same story line but I'm my own case it wasn't gambling but trading. I was interested in what my friend then was doing and saw how he was using pocket option to trade, I inquired of him and he told he to bring about $10 for him to try his luck with my money and that if there's profit he would double my funds just so I believe what he is doing is working.
On the very day I agreed to meet with him, I had a second thought and told him I wasn't okay to go through with it. He was so insistent that there's nothing he didn't say to try to convince me otherwise including calling me a woman. I released the funds to him and within 2 mins he had lost all and was speaking grammar for me.
I simply told him to refund my money because I begged him I wasn't okay with it in the first place and I had serious use of that fund he just blew away. He said he was testing my spirit, that got me angrier with him having known him for long and saw him as the type of person that like to take advantage of any close person.

The truth is that some people are just selfish and would do anything they think is right including stepping on their friends toes just to feel superior and have an advantage, but this is all wrong and could lead to more worse case scenarios including enimity.

It seems that people who lose and get angry don't really understand the risk of loss. There is no certain prediction, so why should you believe predictions given by someone else?
Knowing and understanding whether spirits exist or not is a freedom for everyone. But linking it to gambling is really ridiculous to me. If there are gamblers who keep getting lucky with something like that, wouldn't they probably already be very rich?

They have their own beliefs so it is up to them if they will believe in such spirit or not. But if they will believe so, make sure they are using extra money so it won't have terrible impact to their financials. As I am not a believer of this kind, I won't tolerate this kind of route and if I gave the permission, then, it means, I should be ready for whatever outcome will be, including losing all the bet.

Regarding a person's beliefs, it really depends on each individual. That is their right. But what serves as a warning is the importance of knowing the risks of gambling and betting responsibly. If a person with such beliefs does not stake more than they should, surely their anger and disappointment would not be that great. Especially if they bet based on someone else's predictions, they really shouldn't blame others.

The loser is just angry for nothing and it's nobody's fault that he lost his bet but his. Why will you be gambling because you want to try people spirit/luck and staked it a big amount of money. Will I say this is addiction or a blind bet.

Some gamblers are like that, they believe their luck isn't as consistent as they want. They feel they can play smart by using people's predictions to place their bet to see if they will make profits but most of the time, it's always the opposite because luck is the ultimate.

If the guy has always failed him, should that be about spirituality? That should be about common sense and logic. Someone has been given him matches to bet on, he has been betting on the matches and he is losing but he continued to use the guy bet to bet and he continued to lose. There is no spiritual about this, gambling is risky.

The angry guy clearly lacks common sense, there is no way to describe a situation where he always collects betting tips from someone and he always lost the bet yet he kept going back to him for more tips. If his spirit or intuition was always directing him to the guy after every loses then he shouldn't listen to such spirit that misleads him. We shouldn't bring spirits or believe systems into gambling because they don't work, I've seen people that bet and prayed fervently to win yet they lost, just analyze what you can and bet with amount that you can afford. If you're lucky you will win if you're not you should try your luck another time.

If everything could be solved just by turning to spirits. In my opinion,  a person is simply in a childish position, believing that someone or something else will make decisions for them and influence their life instead. Blaming his friend for giving him the ticket is just an inadequate reaction. His friend didn’t take his money, didn’t place it at the cashier instead of him, and didn’t threaten him in any way. Everything he did, he did by his own free will and choice. Blaming others for your own mistakes is both foolish and pointless.

You are right, not that he is a child but an adult, who know his right from left and know what is good and what is bad too, instead of putting the blame on the other person, he should own up his responsibility and learn from his mistakes, as it will help him not to repeat such mistakes again, because in gambling, there is nothing like spirit but the act of greed and selfishness is making it to look like its a sort of spirit or some other things that is influencing their decision, if he actually do the needful, there is no time he will be experiencing all this problems.

He has no one to blame but himself for losing his money to gambling, for trusting people. You never put big money into the hands of other people when it comes to gambling, even the best analyst and tipster makes mistakes.

The best thing to do is to check whether the tip or ticket is likely to win. Even if you think it has a good chance of winning, you never put money you cannot afford to lose.

So many gamblers lose their wealth because of trust and taking chances, which gives doubt for every tip and for every bet, so you can protect your finances.

Like he said, he always tries people's spirit and the consequence is for him to bear. in life in general, some people are more lucky than others and that is a simple fact but at the same time, when trusting them with whatever prediction or opinion they come up with, you have to be wise enough to know that they can be wrong and so, just like you will do if you are depending on yourself, you also want to be sure that your trust on them doesn't take you above your limit.

there is a price to pay for every action and one that has to do with undue trust has to be faced by the one that allows himself get into that trap because gambling is a game of luck and never something you allow your emotion deceive you into going about it as though anyone has a super power as far as the matter of gambling is concerned.

The context variable is a little confusing but the bottom line is that it's a big loss that the gambler can't afford and he's listening to others to do it.
Spirituality in gambling is just a superstition never rely on it, gamble safely with responsible rules, I firmly believe that if the bet is not big, he will not be angry.

Is the person saying that he always tests whether people have the ability or can be trusted?  The explanation is somehow messed up.  How can one test the ability of a person to use gambling as a testing ground?  Even if this person does the thing by himself will end up failing himself because we all know that the gambling result is random or uncertain.  Even the best gambler can never discern all gambling results perfectly.

About the test of trust, does the person betting, lie to the person?

I do not think that the gambling result of a bet can truly test the discernment of a person.  If the person is honest, it can be tested whether the person is telling the truth or lying about the gambling result, not the gambling result itself.  If it is about discernment, then the person has already failed to say that they will get profit through gambling.

You said that the angry man was always disappointed by that man (the other guy), right? If that is true, then why did the angry man still trust the other guy? (for betting)

I think that story is quite unique, and I think this is the first time I have heard it. Well, I don't think there is any connection between gambling and spirituality, because gambling is essentially about logic, whether it is using data, or mathematical calculations. Besides that, anyone luck can't be tested through gambling, because we never know when anyone be lucky, or when they will be unlucky. So, how can we possibly test someone else luck in gambling? Especially if it involves using large sums of money beyond our means, I don't think that is a good thing to do in gambling, and it seems like he is testing his luck twice, which means he is testing his own and the other guy fate. It is quite strange, I think.

Just a reminder, we should never gamble with money we can't afford to lose. It will seriously impact our finances, even to our mental health. Trust me, gambling feels easier when you use money you can afford to lose, rather than the opposite.

In summary, someone books a game for himself, but another person goes around trying other people's concept. Is this even a discussion?
