The last time this duo fought, it was much critized, but this 2026 rematch is going to be something more of a legacy-defining spectacle.
Floyd Mayweather sees only money in this fight and is confident of a win, while Pacquiao has some score to settle after losing the first.
This is what makes this fight interesting and a must watch.

I think Mayweather is the one who requested this since, after the last fight, if I remember correctly, he wanted to fight Pacquiao again.

I am not expecting much from the actual fight, but I'd still watch this since these two are known legendary boxers. What I am really curious about is how much they are getting paid for this fight, especially Mayweather, since he actually went out of retirement for this fight. As far as I know, their previous fight is still the highest a boxer has been paid for a match, so I am curious whether this fight will top that or not.

This will be a show between two pensioners (despite their legendary past), not a boxing match. But let's not judge them for that, because they need money to live, too. A rematch after 11 years - it sounds funny.

I don't expect Pacquiao to be able to put up any fight against Mayweather. The days when that could happen are long gone. Mayweather is a cunning fighter, and that's his advantage. He'll be the winner again.

Pacquiao has always being a technician but, against big money Floyd Mayeather, I fear this could be just a fix match meant to generate funds for these 2 boxing legends and nothing more. Probably run into several rounds and in the end, Floyd Mayweather counts another glory for himself while they both have something to see the rest of the year out with, together with their team.

Since both boxers are out of their prime, why not make it an official fight and offer a certain title?  This will encourage both boxers to fight seriously, but well, that is just my thought.  The fight being an exhibition possibly makes the boxer a little less serious.

If Paquiao is really a technician and Floyd a tactician, I wonder who will prevail...  A technician is easy to read and prey to a tactician.  Since a technician is rooted to their technique and somehow doesn't stray from their plan, while a tactician adopt on what is on the table.  But regardless, I hope Mayweather doesn't play a marathon here.

Manny Pacquiao is 47 and Floyd Mayweather is 48. Both are legends and have nothing left to prove, but they are doing this for the fans. I just hope the outcome will be exciting, maybe even with a knockout. I’m a Manny fan, which is very common since I’m from the Philippines, but as a boxing fan, I would rather see a knockout than another fight like their last one where there was too much clinching and running.
Also, as a boxing fan, I have one more wish: I hope this doesn’t get postponed again. It would be funny if they end up fighting for the second time when they’re already 50 years old.

You forgot the money. They're doing this for the money, and both of them believe that they still have a huge fan-base, and well, it seems like many are waiting for this fight to happen months from now. We're still in the first quarter of 2026, so this is kind of early advertising, but it is what it is.

As always, I don't see a knockdown or let alone a knockout happening on this fight especially with these 2 fighters that are in their post-prime years already. Their stamina is lower compared to their prime years obviously, and at the same time, the power isn't as strong as it is as well even though they will spend months of training. I always believe that age has a huge effect towards the performance of an athlete especially in boxing, so this will end up in a decision.

Many fans want Pacquiao to win though because Mayweather still haven't lost a fight, and to some, it seems like Pacquiao has been robbed on their first meeting. Well I do also hope that this will not get postponed, and just like other fans, I also want to see Mayweather lose on this one. That would be more memorable than Pacquiao's win for sure.

If the news that I've read were right, this isn't an exhibition fight. This is a professional match whose result would reflect in their professional records. So, this is much more serious than you may consider. Manny, of course, is seeking vengeance for his loss the first time they met inside the ring. Mayweather, on the other hand, would defend his untarnished record at all cost.

Of course, I'm not expecting it to be explosive. The first one wasn't. This one won't be, either.

The first fight has some controversies, it was said that Manny fights Floyd with injury, and many Paquiao fans thought Manny should have won but the judges said otherwise.  It has been so long that many wants to see a rematch but I do not think that they wanted it as an exhibition match since this match wouldn't have any bearing.

Floyd had won already, no matter how controversial it is, it was counted as a win, so Floyd doesn't need to prove anything here.  He beat Manny. If anyone needs to prove something, it is Manny Pacquiao, but then, thinking that this is just an exhibition fight, the possibility that the fight will end up in a draw might happen.

I highly doubt they will let Floyd Mayweather lose this fight, even if it's just an exhibition game. So, expect a x1.01 winning odds for Floyd and maybe x10.00 for Manny.

I am a big Pac-Man fan, so I will definitely watch this to show my support for him, but it will all just be for entertainment. If it's a Sunday morning (Saturday night in Las Vegas), then I will be drunk early while the sun is still out. 
I will probably just close the doors and the windows to avoid getting spoiled by neighbors shouting while they are fighting. Will be waiting for a Netflix promo.

Also, if they would be showing off some performance that it seems that they arent just that too serious when it comes into their fight and obviously trying out to make a show to get some pay then it would be rained out with tons of bashes and criticisms that their money isnt that worth to watch and thats something a reputation on which these fighters would need to avoid on. Lets say that these exhibition fights are that for show but to look up this rematch on which it might not that happen on the time that they are still not retired but still for those fans who had been wanting to see or look the rematch then this is it. It might be something official but rather an exhibition but pretty sure this one would be that interesting. We do just hope that we wont be seeing Mayweather would be keeping on running inside the ring like a chicken.

Among with those recent exhibitions then i would definitely say that this one is the most interesting and i dont have those thoughts about being competitive or seriousness on which this is already that in default.

This is one of those matches that is more than enough to watch just the highlights. Let me put it this way, you know how Jake and Logan Paul brothers are fighting in boxing? That is absolutely a joke to boxing world and the fact that they are even making money from that is a shame, they should not be allowed to box for the health sake of everyone involved.

However, even they would make a more fun match than this, imagine putting two brothers against each other and you would have yourself one of the best matches because whoever loses would at least mock, and no matter how much "script" you can call it, they are going to try to be not the losers.
