I still shaking my head as what could be the real reason for all of this drama coming from Floyd. Is he really protecting that 0 as what we say? Or just hyping the fight to the higher level so that even casual fans are now exciting about this fight? Although I might be biased as I'm a Filipino. But for other nationalities, have you heard someone talking about this fight? It is effective method for Floyd to create more noises so that they can break records again and stay at the top of the highest PPV in history? Or it's Floyd is really hell bent on protecting his 0?

We don't really know if Mayweather is doing this to protect his record, but what we know is that drama/conflict is often used to hype up and make noise about fights. Right now, all we can do is make assumptions about it, and my opinion about it is that Mayweather is stirring up this drama to hype up their fight.

But the question is do they still need to make noises? They are still both well known in boxing, they are both legends already. They made boxing famous because on how they defeat and win fights, specially Manny's style of going all in in every fight while Floyd's defensive genius is at show. That's why I still can't believed what will make Floyd not to fight Manny assuming that they are a lot of money in the line? So it begs me to question that he might be really afraid that his 0 might go if he lose this fight to Manny Pacquiao.

Well Mayweather is really afraid to have a blemished on his record, that is true, he already say before if they fight 10 times he win 10 times if they fight 20 times he win 20 times , if they fight 100 times he win 100 times, so if i say that, and I'm confident that's free money but he always say the other way around like he don't need to fight he won the first time, that's contradict to what he say, and there are rumors that he needs money that is why he needs to fight pacman, also he can't backout he already have advance money, so right now he might just be playing games, but he will fight or else he will get sued.

OK.. so from what I understand, if it is a professional fight, then both these athletes need to train really hard and maintain optimal fitness levels. But then, if it is an exhibition match then the fans won't be too excited and the media coverage maybe a bit on the dull side. Floyd will never agree to a professional fight, since he has already won against Pacquiao back in 2015. And in this case, Pacquiao is having less options because any opponent other than Floyd would be generating much less revenues. This is like a final opportunity for both these boxers to get a substantial increase to their retirement fund. Given this, the fight will eventually go ahead and Floyd will be having a more dominant influence on the terms and conditions.

The stunt is more likely to create more hype.  True, if there is no noise, it won't attract viewers.  The more the viewer get hooked with the rumor the more they will get attached tot he fight and most probably watch the match.

The rumor about the fight getting cancelled can trigger the eagerness of the people and at the same time curiosity of the people who are in a neutral stance, making them get interested and eventually watch the match.

He surely don't want to mess with the contract. That's going to be a lot of digits that he's gonna pay if he doesn't want that fight to be a professional match. Mayweather finally aware he's gonna bankrupt if Netflix sues him. So he has no choice other than accepting a re-match against Manny Mayweather. The good thing it's gonna be a professional fight. As great as they were back in the day, these are two very washed up fighters. I don’t think the level of interest is there for it to be worth anywhere near what Netflix is supposedly paying for this fight. The only reason it is getting attention right now is because of how much of a shitshow Floyd’s life is becoming. People love to hate him, but I don’t see that translating into a lot of viewers for Netflix. They will only get a lot of viewers if there’s a chance Floyd gets smashed to pieces like Jake Paul against AJ.
