Bitcoin is a portable asset. It can easily be moved from one place to another without restrictions. In case of emergencies like war, natural disasters, and others, victims could easily carry the material on which their seed phrase is written and move to a safer place. Carrying assets like physical gold is risky because it could be identified easily. Lands and buildings become worthless during wars. Nobody cares about a paper you have in your hands or bag. But that single piece of paper could move billions of dollars from one place to another.

A lot has been said already, but I will add this tow points of my, Bitcoin is valuable to the people because it provides 24/7 global liquidity. Let's break it down traditional markets close on holiday days and they also operate limited time, but Bitcoin markets is open anytime any day no limit time for operation.

Second reason why Bitcoin is a valuable asset, is because it has no counterparty risk. Let's break it down,  when you put your money in the bank, you have to trust the bank, not to freeze your funds, not to alter your transaction and many money, But when you hold Bitcoin in your own custodia wallet,  you don't depend on any third party,  and you don't have to take permission from third party before you access your funds.

Bitcoin is a great asset, following the history of Bitcoin, I learned that the asset started off as $0 until it got it first online price value of $0.01 in the month of May 2010 and today we can see how valuable the asset has become with its price reaching so many highs. I got into Bitcoin at around 2018/2020, I guess it was one of those year I developed full interest on Bitcoin and right as at then, Bitcoin in 2020 was around $3k+ to $7k+,  despite that the price ended the year 2020 with $29k, if I had bought as much Bitcoin as I could afford in that 2020 when the price dipped to $3,800, I would have been a millionaire in 2024 all time high and there is no other asset that would have been able to give me such a huge amount of profit within 5 year interval.

The fact that bitcoin is a decentralized entity, does not allow third party interference. Looking at bitcoin price performance since inception right from the year it we launched in 2009, you can agree with me that the price alone have really skyrocketed tremendously and even though the price goes down at some point in time it was never to the level it we when it we created, and those who embraced it and invested in it are surely in some sort of a profit. Bitcoin have proven itself as one of the most valuable assets over this years and have continued to hold down this value even in recent years and years to come.

To better understand Bitcoin as an asset, we must first of all look at what an asset in itself actually is.

An asset refers to anything owned by either an individual, group of persons or company that promises to increase its value in the near future. That’s to put it simply. Mind you, an asset can be tangible or intangible. It doesn't ends with borderless spending ability like others believe, here is my own true life story.

Bitcoin have given me a better life since 2016, the kinda of life that someone like myself can't have due to the under developing country that I am from where dreams fade very quickly, Bitcoin came as a rescuer and I held on to it like my life depends on it, that is how I was saved from the dream killer of a country that I am from.

I dress casually without looking rich but I have a handful of Bitcoin as my long term investment, true ownership is another good reason why bitcoin is a valuable asset, no one will know how much you really worth, not friends, not families, not even the banks, you own something very reliable for the first time in your life unlike buying properties and lands where dispute can rise from.

The only thing that I truly believe that I really own is my Bitcoin.
My car? The government can say they don't want cars from 2009 anymore.
My house? They can claim the land still.
Bitcoin? They have zero control 🛂

Bitcoin is great as there are so many reasons to that, surely. There are some assets that if you don't have a particular amount of money or enough money, you can't buy from it. But with the DCA strategy of accumulating Bitcoin, it makes it easy for even low income earners to become coiners and grow financially as it grows. And another most beautiful thing about Bitcoin is that it's value, though it declines, but is not tied to a particular spot, but grows over time and years, meaning that, you can buy bitcoin at a particular price today, and if you HODL for years, that your amount can turn 2×, 3× etc depending on how it has grown and/or creating a new ATH market price.
