Just buy real bitcoin without all those leverage and if you really want to leverage because you want to make additional profit, have you thought of using your bitcoin as collateral to buy more? I think the risk is lower this way.

High leverage only make sense if you just want to waste your money hoping to hit the jackpot but completely fine if your money vaporized because thats what happens 99% fo time.

My experience with leverage is very limited, so I eventually abandoned high leverage and later switched to spot trading, because it significantly reduces the risk of losses for me. For me using leverage in trading equates trading with gambling, but if I want to take a risk, I'll make a few bets, while in trading I prefer to reduce risks as much as possible. I think your strategy is wise because using high leverage is a wrong decision because you do not know when the real dip is. Using high leverage is good but if you have a backup fund that is risk tolerant.

If you pledge your bitcoins and use the proceeds to buy BTC, then you will have the same high risk of losing your money as when trading with leverage. This will happen if the price of BTC decreases and your loan can no longer be secured by your collateral, then the position will be liquidated. This is just the reality about trading leverage. I tried it once or twice but I guess luck wasn't on my side. I don't think it is for me despite the strategy or risk management practices I apply. There is always a slip up and it is emotionally draining to be sincere. I would instead prefer to outrightly gamble on some odds than try to trade leverage, mostly when it involves using BTC.
The risk is just too high and uncertain, I simply do simple trades and hold more BTC for now. If I must trade, then it is with more stablecoins and strict risk management rules.

Using high leverage is something I do intermediary, it depends on the capital I have with me that I’m using to trade and ready to risk into a trade. James Wynn had hundreds of million of dollars but he was using 40x to ruin his wealth. Those are just few exceptions because you are still very correct. People that are having huge amount of money may not even go up to 1x, they are patient traders that greedy traders are losing money to. People with small money will think of increasing the leverage and that is the reason they are losing in trading.

Usually the greedy trader using high leverage but small margin back up make easily for getting liquidation, its normal when seeing many fiture trader opening position between long or short using maximum leverage but have small margin and too close with liquidation. Reality is, using high leverage is a trap. If you trade and set expectations high, and believe that by using high leverage, you will gain higher ROI in just a short time, that thought alone will lead you to unexpected losses in the long run.

High leverage is a NO NO, particularly for a newbie to trading. If you are new to trading, i don't think you should be using anything greater than 2x leverage, anything more than that would be considered risky and would increase the likelihood of liquidation or a margin call.

That said, maybe "experienced" traders could go higher than 2x or 5x leverage, as long as they do not forget to manage their risk efficiently. To put it simply, high leverage would help you maximize profit, with even a small shift in your advantage, but that is the same way it also increase losses substantially if the market does not go in your favor, so i voted no.

But it looks like that those who are more eager and confident to use high leverage these days are those who are newbies and who have no sufficient trading experiences, thus the outcome will always give them lessons the hard way.

However, even experienced traders have no guarantees that they will make it big through high leverage, the fact remains that while it can maximize our future profits opportunities, but it can also be the reason why we are losing too much from trading, that some have decided to stop trading with high leverage because the losses are higher than those realistic gains.

I dont think high leverage is bad if you have enough margin and put 10-20% it is fine, thats how I usually trade on perpmate use only 10-20% of my whole balance with 20-40x leverage, but I think high leverage is bad if put 50-70% and leave 20-30% for your margin.
