Honestly, you're amazing buddy. You have a great mindset and the decisions you've made are spot on, especially when you decided to sell when Bitcoin returned to its highest point. The DCA method is one of the best methods you can use to buy Bitcoin gradually, because it doesn't focus on price but rather on when your funds are available, so you don't have to stress about price drops.

Perhaps what i can suggest is to always use your discretionary income to buy, never use funds for living expenses, as that would be more risky and put your investment at risk when you experience an emergency that requires a lot of money. Build your emergency fund alongside your discretionary fund.

Of course buying bitcoin while it is going down is a smart move. Everyone "should" do it, but not everyone can because not everyone has money on the side to buy things. I can explain my own situation, I have none, I was ALMOST done with my debt finally, but then got sick again and had to pay some again, insurance covered 70% of it so I am thankful, but I got a bit more debt anyways.

I think next month or a month after that I will be done and then I can put that not into debt paying anymore but to bitcoin, but so far I couldn't buy at this level because of debt. See how everyone can see what they should do but not be able to do it? Many situations like that around the world.

Buying the dip is one what have been practiced before time before the DCA became popular and the fact that we know who's buying the dip. Comes with a lot of of previlages, like when you buy high you know that when the prices increases you will make profit and you buying at a very cheaper rate makes everything more amazing and there people that are always scared about the price coming down and by now they need to have wise up.

Not really the best time to go into Bitcoin but the best time to buy it when it's cheaper, if you say it's the best time, ignorant people would think they always have to wait for the market to drop before they can buy Bitcoin which is not really good cause the market might go the other way while they're waiting. There is no need to be overly afraid of dips, but it is a mistake to make dips the best time to buy Bitcoin all the time. The best thing for beginners is to keep buying regularly, and if there is chance for more buying in the dip, it can be done in stages and in a pre-determined manner. For example, buy a little more when the price drops 20% or 30%, then DCA a little more aggressively when it drops further. Not as much as possible at once. If they don't see the opportunity on that situation then they usually got afraid then do nothing, they provably always have this regrets on why they didn't buy earlier.

Yes buying Bitcoin on fall will be smart way to collect wealth in long term, but it should be done only with amount of money that you do not have to use for most soon needs such as rent and food. Market, which is unstable with world events such as Iran crisis leading to quick changes of prices, it is risky thing to use needed money that in most cases will make people sell at loss, when they panic to do so. Unless, you have emergency fund in place through savings, you should work on building that safety net first instead of spending more money on buying more Bitcoin.
