Canada As 51st US State

Trump wants to make America great and plans to take over Canada the way they took over a chunk of Mexico. Do you think this is a good idea, especially considering that some Canadians may like the idea even though I don't see the possibility of majority of Canadians accepting it. Is Trump too ambitious or is he right in his belief that the US can do anything and get away with it?

Almost all Canadians do not like the idea.

There is a part of Canada that just want to separate from Canada, but they are not planing to join United States, they just want to be their own country. That is also not possible because the region is producing most of Canada crude oil and very developed. If they separate, it will significantly affect Canada.

Trump may be indicating that he wish (not want for now) Canada to be the 51st state but he proposed no such plan yet. I think he will prefer Greenland first but he failed.

What if Canada invaded US? "Especially considering that some us citizens may like the idea"? Since you brought that aspect up, do you think it's a meaningful factor what "some citizens" would think about it, when it comes to invading your sovereign country?

Also, Trump doesn't want make America great, he wants to profit from it and gain as much power and praise as possible. That's why he only hires sycophants over talent and expertise, so they won't hurt his feelings and obey without criticism.

All Trump ever cared about is how to create more "deals" and make more money and then bully the other countries around. Nothing is going to happen to Canada even if he is elected for another term.

If Canadians ever want to touch a gold medal in hockey again, they ought to give this some consideration.

More seriously, I think Canada is in a very bad position and is doing everything wrong. They need to get new leaders and start making good choices or else they will be lucky to be taken over by the United States compared to alternatives.
