In the crypto community holders are classified by how much BTC that are in your possession. The classification is done using sea animals.

1. You are called HUMPBACK, if you have- 5000 BTC
2. You are called. WHALE, if you have- 1000 BTC
3. You are called. SHARK, if you have - 500 to 500 BTC
4. You are called. DOLPHIN, if you have- 100 to 500 BTC
5. You are called. FISH, if you have 50 to 100 BTC
6. You are called. OCTOPUS, if you have 10 - 50 BTC
7.You are called. CRAB, if you have 1 - 10 BTC
8.You are called. SHRIMP if you have less 1 BTC
9. You are called. NO-COINER if you 0 BTC

Some of us are Shrimp, we should not ashamed of that, because we are better than the No-coiner. Some people may not surpass the level of SHRIMP even if they spent all their lifetime stacking BTC, but it doesn't matter, what matter is that are ongoingly buying with discretionary income rather than ongoingly complaining.

Complaining and Delaying to stack BTC dosen't do shit. Shrimp that keep on ongoingly buying can build up a huge stack in time, all you need is patience. Patience can take people a long way.

You may have misunderstood. He mentioned that those who have 0 BTC are called NO-COINER . But PhilosopherKing did not mention those who have some amount of BTC. But those who have some amount of Bitcoin or have started new investment in Bitcoin are called by many names such as Crypto Beginner.

Even for the stock market we still get different levels of investors. We also don see where someone start small and grows big of their income in the future and na so e be for the bitcoin market where pleb investors get to use the Dca accumulating strategy to increase their portfolios.
And with good investment if dem keep holding their asset for a long time with inflows of discretionary incomes, possibilities go dey say their satoshi fit bump up to 1 btc or above.

According to the BTC ownership category, most of us have less than one BTC, so according to the Bitcoin category mentioned here, many people on this Naija LB will be in the SHRIMP category of Bitcoin holdings, but at this point you may be wrong because those who have just started definitely have some Bitcoin, even they are considered Bitcoin holders or owners and they are new coiners but those who haven't started yet i.e. those who have zero BTC are no coiners as mentioned by the OP. Also to clear this issue I will give you a definitional example, a no-coiner is a person who does not belong to any category, meaning they do not own any Bitcoin or other cryptocurrency.

I think his classification is very clear especially in the area you are talking about. Maybe you don't really comprehend what he was actually saying. Those that don't have BTC at all are no coiner while those that are just starting to buy bitcoin but with an amount that is less than 1 BTC they fall under shrimp. So it is the amount of bitcoin you have in your holdings that determine the category you fall into whether you are a beginner or not.

It’s not so common to find genuine newbies nowadays, which is why I think OP’s efforts are commendable. This topic gave me a nostalgic feeling because I remember reading a similar thread in Beginners and Help when I was a newbie. Four years and I’m still a shrimp, four more years and I might make it one step up the food chain.

Well I can guess that most people in this forum plus these legendary guys  too will be between Crab and shrimp. Why would even be ashamed of being in shrimp, what I just focused on my accumulating more. Most of these big buyers or holders are either companies or billionaires, or someone who has funds from different investors, so there's no need to be ashamed of that. At least if someone can accumulate up to 1-2 Bitcoin with DCA it's still very okay.  I know that Growth takes time, but if done consistently you surely see the reward. Then exercising patience too,  whereby not panicking during price dips.

True true I just dy see something like this for the very first time, and just like wetin you talk here, I no know say them categorize am according to the numbers of Bitcoin own by an individual or a group of persons, the category wey just dy really funny to me na that shrimp category, see me here I no even know say I dy for crawfish level as a Bitcoin holder🤣🤣. At this time that the economic situation of different part of the world is not getting better at all, most of us can just agree to the fact that we belong to the shrimp family because it takes a lot before you can build up to a whole bitcoin talk more of building above that amount to something that is actually bigger. in the past, it was easier for people to accumulate some figures in bitcoin because the value of bitcoin was relatively low but that is just possible in the past but not at the present. but then, the quantity of bitcoin one is able to accumulate should be a personal thing depending on your finance. there is no point trying to compare yourself to others that were able to accumulate more bitcoin than yourself.  make your plan and buy based on what your strength can carry, it is just that simple.

If the person has zero interest and no ownership of bitcoin then the someone is  No-Coiner. But if the someone has Zero interest and little accumulation less than 1 BTC then they are shrimp. But there is a slim chance of person accumulating BTC when they show no interest in it.
