Bookies dont give Rico a chance. Usyk is a favorite with 1.04 and Rico is almost 10. Its either lucky punch or injury that would help Rico to win. But, in a fight Usyk vs Dubois, Dubois was also a huge underdog but managed to land a nice shot (which many call as low blow) that sent Usyk to knockdown. This isnt a good example, but I only wanted to say that every fighter has a chance to win in heavyweight division.
That's true, I'm a believer in upset. I have seen it happen so many times in boxing, and it happened because the favorite underestimates the underdog.
I know that Usyk is an exceptional fighter, having fought many different boxers, but this time he will face a fighter whose skill is not that of a boxer, so he is fighting not only Verhoeven but also himself. He should never think that it's going to be an easy fight, because Verhoeven can punch.
You know in heavyweight division anything can happen. Tyson Fury, the gypsy king, was once one of the greatest boxers, undefeated, but Francis Ngannou, MMA fighter, has managed to knock Fury down. Even though he lost later, but he has shocked boxing community. Rico could surprise with his stamina. Usyk might get a cut or injury, that will force ref to stop the fight. An accidental headbutt, deep cut, doctors stops the fight and we have a new champion.
