I do not have an defined amount to bet, what I have is a monthly budget (which variable too) and sometimes I go crazy and bet too high, so I have to spend the rest of the month without bet, sometimes, and I do not find bets that attract me, so I make small bets.
What I think is that you need to find an amount where you can have enough fun without spend all your money before you've enjoyed it.
Look... fun does not have to culminate with win money, many people have fun even losing money, because they do not have profit as their ultimate goal, but even for those who play for fun like you and me, we know how annoying it is to lose all our money after a few plays

I noticed that too and it depends to your agenda when you gamble. If you are okay winning a bit with small amounts then the advantage of it is there and you can stay longer.

While spending big amounts for each spin or bets you make, the chance of winning big is there but the risk is higher.

It's also likely that you'll get out of funds as soon as possible because of how fast pace will be on that kind of strategy with how much you gamble.

I’d like to correct something in your comment here. When people place a bet whether it’s big or small, there’s never a certain outcome, here you sound very sure that when one would gamble with large sum of money, that they’ll definitely lose it, which is actually incorrect. While there’s a higher tendency/chances of losing, there’s actually no assured outcome, not until after the end of the game. Playing with large sum of money could still land you some wins too but this shouldn’t be our major drive, else the end COULD be disastrous.

Gambling is fun if you don't care about losing your money and the lesser the amount you're using to gamble, the lesser the care you are and the lesser you will be affected if you will be losing it.

This is the reason why I'm not affected whenever I lose my money in gambling. Aside from the fact that I only care less about that money if I lose, I already wired my brain where I will not be affected by it when I lose. I don't want to say that gamblers should think like that, but it's a must if they don't want gambling to affect them in a negative way. As for what you said, I wonder what are the chances of you making your money x100? I mean I'm not saying that it's impossible, but it has a low chance.

I usually spend $5–$10 a day when I gamble, it may seem like a small amount, but I can manage my gambling budget perfectly that way. When I use small amount like $5, it doesn’t feel like a burden on my mind so I can play freely either I win or lose. If I win, I take the money. If I lose, I just try again the next day. Playing with a small amount also helps prevent me from becoming greedy. Imagine if I used $100 on a single bet and lost it all, the feeling to win back my loss or greedy would probably appear and push me to bet even more. Small amount or big amount doesn't change the result but at least it help me control my greed when I used small money.

Let's just say or assume that you are currently in your lucky season and it's the reason you are winning, because I will not want to believe that your reason for winning is because you are betting small amount of money, many gamblers out there bet small amount but still end up losing the bet and their money for so long as they remain unlucky..

I think I have observed it too that when someone is wagering with small amount, the winning can be good and that's because the casino wants the person to make more deposit and wager with big amount and by so doing, the person will lose once they increase the bet size. Or it's just probability and chance that when you bet small, Gambling Gods favors you. One experience I have is just playing slot with the lowest amount of stake. And fortunately, you might win some good money or hit the jackpot and then as if everything is working for you. I'm even speculating that maybe when you bet small, the machine will make you win and feel that you are luck so that you want to increased your bet and thinking that with increasing it, you could continue with your winning streak and luck. I agree with you, betting with small amount makes it easy to control losses because the amount is small and it will not be too painful to the bettor if he or she loses that money to whatever game was played.
A close friend once told me that he became addicted to gambling due to his believe that staking high means wining huge amount, and with time because of much losses he became emotionally attached and addicted as he was trying to recover his capital back by all possible means.

Betting with a small amount can prevent large losses from occurring but if the result is lost and gambling continues, it can still lead to large losses as well.

Betting with this small amount although it can be said to prevent large losses but basically all depends on your own behavior in gambling.

I always play with small sums, even in betting I never bet large sums.
Rather, I prefer to risk (aware of the great difficulty) on odds and difficult matches, but with little money I can achieve (it has already happened) excellent wins.
I continue to enjoy playing without using my money (I do very few top-ups in a year of playing) I usually use the money I win and when I cross my personal stability threshold I take a portion and continue playing with the rest.
